Jessica has a remarkable way with dogs. She has several of her own, and loves them as equal members of her family. But one instance stands out to me as indisputable proof that she would excel at this job. I was dog-sitting for a friend for an entire week, and it was clear after several days that the dogs were in control of the situation. But the moment Jess walked in the door and met the incessantly barking dogs, she found a way to connect with each one (3 of them) within a matter of minutes. She got on the floor with them, let them lick her and jump all over her, and ultimately proved to them that she was not a threat. To my knowledge, those dogs have never been as well behaved as when she was there with them that day. That unforgettable story, and her general selflessness and compassion make her an exceptionally qualified candidate for a job such as this, and I believe Rover would be a much stronger service with her on board.
