I grew up in the country, where my mom raised German Shepard's and later Golden Retrievers. We had an acre of fenced in land just for the dogs, and I grew up learning how to take care of puppies all the way up to elderly dogs. I went off to college and grew up-- I miss them all dearly and can't wait to make new doggy friends! I'm currently only a cat mama, so I miss the interaction you can experience with dogs. I'm a freelance writer full time, so I also enjoy something that gets me out of the house from time to time. Dogs are excellent exercise!
