Behavioral Dog Lover!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jessica Singer and I LOVE behavioral pups! My husband and I rescued a stray from NHS in October of 2020 and that is where my intense love and interest for the kiddos with strong feelings began. I am very educated in animal body language, appropriate interactions, muzzle and crate training, resource guarding, and redirection. I am comfortable around dogs that exhibit different forms of reactivity towards other animals and humans. Because of this, I am incredibly hyper aware of my surroundings and do my best to always be 5 steps ahead; to ensure both their safety as well as others. Being the mom of a reactive pup and volunteering with them at local shelters, I’ve found there is such a need for people/places that are comfortable and trained to help with these wonderful babies. I am very pro mental enrichment and meeting dogs daily needs as most behaviors stem from lack of stimulation. A dog with a tired brain is a tired dog! I would love the opportunity to meet your pup! I am unable to offer pet sitting in my home as my kiddo doesn’t like other dogs. I require 2, at minimum, meet and greets before any solo walks/care of any kind. This ensures both your dog and myself are comfortable with each other. This will aid in a positive relationship in the future.

Jessica is the only person I trust to care for my dog. She not only comes to be a caregiver when I am at work, but she loves my dog as her own. My dog gets equally as excited to see her, too! Jessica is the only person for the job!

Jessica is a PHENOMENAL dog sitter. I am a fireman in the city and it’s next to impossible to find a reliable person to walk and care for my fur baby and she’s a class act. She is always so reliable and really goes above and beyond; she’s even gone as far as dropping and picking up my dog from both the vet and groomer. She is wonderful! I can’t say enough about her.

Jessica is a wonderful and experienced dog sitter! She is very responsive, professional, and affectionate with my dog. She was very comfortable watching multiple dogs of various sizes and breeds. Highly recommend her!!

Safety, trust & environment

I do not use aversive training methods. I am only R+. I believe in building a relationship based on trust and autonomy; not fear. Methods I do not use are as follows: prong collars, shock collars, or any tool in place that would cause an animal pain.

Information Jessica S. would like to know about your pet

I will need to know your pets age, breed (for enrichment purposes - we don’t breed shame in this house!), allergies, any medication given, as well as limitations. Ideally, tell me everything! It’s very important I understand your dog on all levels; so any quirks, behaviors, etc. This helps me to be best prepared for a positive encounter!

A typical day

Each dog has different needs based off of their age, breed and overall health. I am happy to accommodate their needs; from couch potato to track star. Bonding through physical/mental enrichment is so important for me!
