I've had dogs my whole life and therefore feel able to read their body language well and connect with them accordingly. Dogs have always been a tremendous source of joy for me, and I can't imagine life without them! I've cared for/walked/watched many dogs to help out friends and relatives just as a favor, as well as for employment - giving me many years of experience with many different breeds. I had a flat-coated retriever named Fern for about 11 years who passed in November of last year - I miss her every day. Her passing has brought me back onto the site as I've missed the wonderful presence and joy that dogs effortlessly bring. I spent years researching breeds to find the right fit for myself and my living situation, and along the way learned a lot about the temperament of different breeds (mutts have a special place in my heart as well of course)! My family has always worked with, and had animals, including a variety of different breeds including Pembroke Corgis, Belgian Tervurens, Wolf/Husky mixes, Flat-coated retrievers, Border collies, Dachshunds, and more! Every dog has their own unique and special personality, and it would be my honor to get to know yours!
