I currently work a full time job as a Research Technician. Although it's a great job with awesome benefits it doesn't fullfill my passion for animals. Rover.com gives me the opportunity to fullfill that passion and use my experience and skills obtained from working with animals. I can have my cake and eat it too! Animal experience: I have experience taking care of a special needs Rhodesian Ridgeback who needed medication, blood sugar tested and insulin shots administered multiple times a day. I ran my own mobile dog grooming business for 5 years. I also worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for a couple of years as well. I've had multiple dogs in my life that I considered family. My last dog Max I lost 2 years ago and still miss him dearly. He took a piece of my heart with him. I know how important your pet is to the whole family. My daughter Ava, our cat Lilly and I live in Brunswick. Ava has a genuine love and connection to animals too. I grew up in this area so I love the country. Many petsitters gravitate towards more suburban/city areas due to close proximity to other visits. I would like to offer petsitting in the rural areas. A nice walk or jog with your dog would be my pleasure. You can come home to a calm dog and relax and enjoy each other. I find connecting with pets is easy and comforting to the animal and human. It's therapeutic. I look forward to being able to give your pet attention, affection and meet their needs while you are at work, out of town or out on the town. My goal is to give you peace of mind that your pet is taken care of while you aren't home. No more guilt or rushing around.
