Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Jessica, and I adore caring for all shapes and sizes of dogs! I've had the amazing experience of occasionally boarding five dogs over a long-term basis (6+ years), and numerous (10+) dogs through my time with Rover! My family and I strive to make sure that both dogs and their parents feel comfortable during their stay with us. Doggies that stay with my family always receive TONS of love, affection, and belly rubs. We ensure that doggies get at least one long walk a day to get out their energy, as well as frequent potty breaks. We often find that Leo helps Pups with separation anxiety by distracting them (playing tug-o-war and chasing each other around!) and keeping them company 24/7. I always make sure to send daily updates AND photos to dog parents, as well as keep them in the loop with any important information or progress their pup has made throughout the stay. I have experience with potty training puppies during visits as well as caring for dogs with medical needs (specifically seizures, weight problems, hip problems, modified walks, medicine needs to be taken at a specific time, etc). My family and I are very patient and caring towards the diverse needs of each dog that stays with us. I'm a proud dog mom of an English Cocker Spaniel named Leo; he's a 3-year-old (neutered) boy who's very cuddly and friendly with other dogs. Leo is a very calm boy, but secretly loves energetic puppies who want to play tug-o-war and fetch with him!! A little bit about me: I'm currently a student at the University of Toronto, majoring in Society, Ethics, & Law. I've had the amazing experience of volunteering at an Elementary School for over four years, as well as being a full-time camp counselor at an overnight camp in the past. My passions include photography, journaling, creative arts, and caring for children and animals. How To Contact Me: Please feel free to shoot me a message and I will respond promptly, within 24 hours.

I can’t even begin to express how happy we were with Jessica and the care she gave to Maggie Mae and Sally when we were out of the country for over two weeks. From the moment we met her, her adorable dog Leo, and her wonderful family, we knew they would be in good hands. We hadn’t left our two little ones for that long before (with anyone!) and so as you can imagine, we were a bit nervous. Jessica was fantastic with communication, providing updates and photos every single day, which was really important for us. I can’t say enough great things about her - if you’re loooking for a person you can trust, and you want to come home to happy dogs, look no further! Thank you so much Jessica, we’ll certainly be contacting you in the future and will recommend your services to anyone looking for the best care for their four-legged family members!
We are so happy we had Jessica look after our dog, Bogey. He had such a blast and was absolutely knackered when we got home. Jessica provided many photos and updates throughout the stay and was quick to reply to any of our questions. Will definitely use her services again in the future!
Another great stay for Hazel with Jessica! Once again, Jessica was very communicative and sent us pictures and updates. Hazel had a great time playing with Leo and came home tired but happy?
Jessica was great with our dog Trouble, him and Leo (Jessica's dog) were playing all day and they had a great time! She kept us updated throughout Trouble's time there. Jessica is excellent with dogs, as she is very caring, compassionate, and also a great communicator. We would recommend Jessica to anyone considering having their best friend taken care of. She is definitely someone you can trust. We will bring Trouble back to Jessica soon! And Trouble is looking forward to playing with Leo again! Thanks Jessica!!

Information Jessica R. would like to know about your pet
Please kindly advise us of any special needs or behaviors your dog has before their stay, and/or if this is the first time your pup has ever been cared for by someone else. Some examples of things we'd like to know are their use of pee pads, if they're not fully potty trained, heavy barking, aggression surrounding food or towards other dogs, separation anxiety, if they use a crate at home (we do not own/use crates for Leo), if they take medicine, any special needs, etc.
A typical day
I'm always happy to provide doggies with their optimal level of exercise each day. Each pup is different, and some require more or less physical activity than others. That being said, I love taking dogs on long walks, or to our local designated & fenced-in dog park. I've also had experience with accommodated walks, such as with doggies who are scared of big streets (I walked them through calm residential areas), and elderly doggies who need slower-paced walks. Doggies who stay with my family can expect a lot of play-time. We're lucky to have a spacious fenced-in front and backyard, which is secure for small to large dogs. We love taking them outside and playing fetch, tug of war, chasing each other around, and playing with soccer balls.
