Pet care experience
I have been a Rover sitter for almost 9 years now. I initially relocated to California from Virginia to begin my travel nursing career back in 2019. I sadly had to leave many of my established clients back in Virginia that I cared for for many years. While it was sad to part with them, I'm always looking forward to meeting and establishing new wonderful clients. Travel nursing has taken me all up and down the west coast, most recently landed in Seattle, and am now back to the California sunshine. Would love to meet you and your wonderful pets. One of the perks of my full time Pediatric RN job is my work schedule. I typically work 3 shifts per week at night. The options to care for your pet are endless. Jessica was very friendly and easy to talk to. She responded very quickly to all my texts and was amazing at sending updates and pics which helped us to feel more at ease. I was a little surprised when we returned home because the house smelled absolutely awful and the downstairs litter boxes were so full that they were unscoopable and we had to just throw away and use all new litter. It took several days to get the cat poop smell out of the house which led me to believe that maybe they weren't scooped the entire 8 days? I think Jessica is really nice and is probably normally a lot better than this but maybe just had too much on her plate? I'm not sure but $15 dollars a day for the cats I feel like deserved for the boxes to be scooped at least every other day if not daily. I hope this was just a fluke situation. Jessica has great reviews which is why I chose her. In the end, our pets were alive and seemingly happy and that's the most important thing.
Again - awesome communication and she is great with our dog!

I would always like to know if there’s any aggression around other animals...especially for walks. There’s always the possibility of running into others on the road and would like to know how to handle any encounters (i.e. steer clear of others). Any allergies or particulars that your pet likes and/or does not like are important to know as well. I accept all breeds and all sizes!
A typical day
For walks, I like to dedicate as much time as you indicate to get some good energy out for your pups. I like to ask owners during our meet and greet where their pets are most comfortable walking. I tend to stick to those areas, but am happy to take them elsewhere if requested. The last 10 minutes is making sure they’re stocked up on water and are comfortable before I leave, as well as some good playtime. If dropping into your home I'm not opposed to some good snuggle time on the couch (as long as they're allowed)! Making sure your pet is comfortable is 100% my priority.

Availability
As an RN my schedule requires me to be at work 3 nights per week, typically from 7pm-7am. I am flexible with timing requests for most walks.
