I have done pet-sitting services since I was 15 years old but have had pets of my own since I was a toddler (my first pet was a tadpole named Bubble). I have developed relationships with a wide array of species throughout my life (cats, dogs, ferrets, anoles, chameleons, tarantulas, frogs, hermit crabs and rats). I have experience working with many animal charities since I was 18 and have personally rescued and re-homed over 40 cats. I have two cats and a dog at home and they have full run of the place. My cats love dogs as long as they are not aggressive towards them and my dog loves to play with other pups and adores cats. He has been around many! I do have a spare bedroom in case your dog or cat need their own space though. I have a 3 year old boy so animals coming to our home need to be ok with children. He understands the proper ethics of being gentle with animals and knows how to play with them properly. We have a fully enclosed backyard for potty breaks. When doing drop-in visits, I have to bring my son with me. Once again, he is well-behaved and knows how to interact with well-behaved animals. When walking dogs, I will be walking with a stroller. Please just be mindful about these details. I know we are a good match for some situations but not for all. Your dog may not like children or strollers which I understand. However, for the large number of jobs we have done, we have managed exceptionally well and enjoyed taking care of the animals we have had the pleasure of connecting with. I have always done jobs through word-of-mouth but we moved from Philadelphia this past summer and we do not know this community well so I wanted to use Rover as a way to break through that barrier. I am mostly a stay-at-home mom so your animal will be kept in good company and our schedule is flexible. I look forward to connecting with you and your fur baby!
