11 months ago, I had to put my dog (Dozer) down due to mental decline. The time leading up to that point was rough to say the least. The months leading up to that day there where sleepless nights of Dozer whining and getting lost in corners and seizures. So much so we had to tie a bell on his collar so it would wake us up when it was happening. All of this while working 12 hours a day 6 days a week. Though this time there was no way I could have kept up with Dozer and give him the time that he deserved and helped him. Jessi stepped up in a huge way and held Dozer through the night on those sleepless ones and helped clean up the aftermath of the seizures. She played a big part in making his life enjoyable up until the day we had to put him down. When she told me that she wanted to start doing Rover first thing that came into mind is there is no one else that is more patient and kinder than Jessi and it showed through when she was taking care of Dozer.
