I will meet with the owner before hand in order to get to know the house and the dogs in order to ensure that they get just what they need. I am capable of conforming to the normal routine of that pet when it comes to feeding times and medication times, as well as the number of walks they might go on. In general, should one go out of town early in the morning (say between 2-5 am) then I would go over to the house at around 8 am in order to ensure that the dog gets a chance to go outside as needed. Should you leave anytime after 9 am and before 11pm then I can meet you before you leave. Then, I can either leave an hour or two before you return (based on return time) or when you get back from your trip. I am often available most of the day, and most of the night. Though, for the most part I do my best to ensure that those dogs who need others with them a majority of the time are not left alone. I feed dogs based on the schedule you generally feed them on, and give them an opportunity to go out at least once every 4 hours during the day. I will take them out once before bed, and once when I get up in the morning as well (unless it is specified that they need to go outside in the middle of the night). I have worked fairly consistently over the past six years to dog sit for my riding instructor as well as her family's dogs. This includes two rescue dogs with high activity levels (one about forty pounds, and the other about twenty), two senior dogs with medications taken daily, and a cat at each household. I have also helped to take care of some of the horses on their property most recently while I house-sat for them. If you would like daily updates on your dogs then I do not mind doing so in the least. Should I have to leave before you were to return the keys would be left in a designated spot and you would have a note left on the counter explaining how the dogs did and giving you the most recent time that they were let outside. I also have my own rescue dog, Remy, who has often come with me while I watched dogs overnight. She is shy, though very friendly with other dogs and serves as an emotional support animal. Depending on the situation I can easily work with her to best fit your needs (including dividing my time between keeping Remy at my place and taking care of your dogs at your own house).
