I am very disappointed with the service I received from Jessica during her time with my dogs. As a Rover sitter myself, I had high expectations, at the very least for her to do what I would have done as a sitter. She was requested to sleep at my house with my dogs and told me that she would definitely do that, even after I offered her not to, so that is what I expected. It turns out she only spent one night with them. She had been given instructions to give the dogs a bone if she would be gone more than 8 hours during the DAY. She gave them a bone every night and likely many more as my mostly full bag was completely gone when I returned home. I have a camera set up in my living room so that I can check on my dogs throughout the day, of which she was aware, and of the multitude of times that I checked, I only saw her twice. I received very little communication and only two pictures of my dogs during the stay. At times on the camera I saw that one of their blankets was on the floor and I had to ask multiple times to have the blanket picked up off the floor. One time I was told that she would be there in 15 minutes and would pick it up, when I checked the camera THREE HOURS LATER, the blanket was still on the floor. She also mentioned multiple times that she was out with other clients or conducting other walks, which were not mentioned to me prior to booking. It is ok to have multiple clients at the same time, as long as you are open about it and tell the pet parents. I honestly would not have hired her had I know she had multiple other clients at the same time. On the last day she sent me a message letting me know that she was leaving and advised me that she had eaten things in my fridge, and subsequently replaced some of them. She also advised that she had taken my towels to her house to wash them but that they would not be ready by the time I returned home. When I asked when I could expect to have them back, she would not provide me with a time and asked that I move communication away from Rover. I told her that I appreciated her wanting to clean my things but that I would have preferred that she ask or at least let me know beforehand. When I was finally able to get her to commit to a time to return my things, two days later, she brought them back damp. I honestly felt horrible for leaving my dogs in her care and felt that they were not taken care of in any reasonable manner. The instructions were not difficult and if she felt there would not be time in her schedule to adequately care for my dogs, she should have said so. I paid for a specific service and didn't receive anywhere near that service.
