Pet care experience
Ever since I was 4 years old I wanted to be a veterinarian. I grew up with every pet imaginable in our household and it was my responsibility (and joy) to take care of and love them. While my dreams of being a vet didn’t come to fruition; I still love all animals and can’t wait to love on yours. I have experience with animals of all sizes and am currently a volunteer at SMART; a therapeutic riding facility where I tend to horses and the barn. I have experience walking dogs in my neighborhood for several years and can provide references upon request. I currently am a mama to a senior dog and am aware of an older dog’s needs like diet, medication, and exercise. As a fur mama, I know how much it means to have frequent communication and photos/videos of your baby while you’re away so you can count on at least 1x/day. I will make sure your baby gets plenty of love and affection as well as exercise and playtime to keep them happy while you are away.

I've known Jessica for nearly 5yrs and her adorable dog Dudley. I like to call Jessica the Cesar Millan of Sarasota. Her dog is so well behaved and every time I have seen her walking someone else's dog, she has the ability to get through to the animal with a strong presence yet gentle approach. Her love for animals shines through and she is even involved with SMART (Sarasota Manatee Association for Riding Therapy) where she handles horses. Her love for animals is clear and your animal I can assure you will be in very good hands.

Walks: I like to keep longer walks in the cooler morning and evening times so your pup doesn’t overheat in the FL humidity. I will rely on you to tell me your dog’s endurance for activity and plan accordingly.

Can they be let off leash in a dog park?
A typical day
I am an expert frisbee tosser and ball thrower. :) Your dog will get plenty of exercise with me playing fetch in your yard or tug of war. I love going on neighborhood walks and if you live close to downtown; my new favorite spot is the Bay park close to the water with lots of things to see and smell! If your dog is more chill; then I will walk at their pace and give lots of snuggles and belly rubs to their hearts content.

Availability
I am self employed so my schedule is super flexible to be available for your dog’s needs. I’m available all week for dog sitting in your home. If I need to leave for work ; I will be out of the home for only 2-4 hours max. I’m available all week for dog walking in the afternoons and evenings.
