Caring vet assistant here to help!

Pet care experience

I have taken care of everything from livestock and reptiles, to dogs and cats ever since I can remember! From wildlife rehab to being the mom of a sweet coonhound, I’ve gained knowledge and experience with all kinds of critters! I am currently a vet assistant at a local animal hospital, so I have experience with a wide variety of pet personalities like senior pets, puppies/kittens, and even the rowdy ones. I love getting to know peoples pets and my fiancé tells me that I am like a magnet for animals and can get along with each and every one!

We had high hopes for Jessica. She seemed very professional and even worked at a animal hospital. We agreed to house sitting where she would come around 5:30pm let our dog out either stay or return later to spend the night. Then let him out before leaving for work in the morning for 10 days. We communicated we had cameras outside and even invited her family to have dinner at our house while we were away if it helped her family Dynamics Encouraging her to have her family over if needed. She spent an average of 5 minutes at my house when she was there twice a day. She never slept over, not even once. Leaving our dog alone for up to 14 hours who was on medication for a UTI as well as struggles with loud noises at night. When she was confronted about it at the end of contract, we were told her child was sick and her family came first. We would have asked friends or a family member to stay at the house at night if she would have communicated these issues to us during our trip. Never once did she take responsibility for not living up to her a part of the arrangement only blaming us for being upset, saying we were overreacting and our dog was fine. Honestly I don't know how she expected us not to realize it when I communicated several times we had cameras. I will say Rover quickly responded to the situation and I hope this young lady learned from our interaction how to handle customers in the future. I don't know about the rest of the people on Rover but our dog is part of our family and it broke our heart to think that he was alone at night every single night for over a week.

Repeat customers of Jess house/dogsitting for us and she was fantastic taking care of our girls once again! Not a worry with regular updates while we traveled over the holidays. Even handling the “ninja” of the two escaping a couple of times. Promptly notifying us while taking it in stride. Of course, the ninja came back to Jess much sooner than to us any of the times she’s gone on a runabout.

Jessica is so sweet and caring of my dogs. She sent great pictures and was in consistent contact which provides an immense amount of comfort. She some how got my stubborn dog to eat his dry food which is a miracle lol. She not only took very good care of them but her qualifications are outstanding with her experience as a vet tech. She even left a thank you card and bags of local dog bakery goodies for the babes when I got home to give them which as much as a gift to me as it was for them. 100% Will be hiring her again.
