Pet care experience
Thanks for considering us to care for your sweet pet! We're Jess and Jason, a couple of geeks who love gaming, adventuring, and animals! My husband and I have been caregivers and companions to all manner of pets. We recently had to say goodbye to our precious pup after almost 18 years together and we're honored to bring the skills and knowledge we've learned over the years to our community. We welcome doggos of all breeds and sizes! In addition to individualized attention and care, we have a special place in our hearts for older dogs who may need a little extra care in their daily routine. After providing end-of-life care to two of our dogs, we understand that it can be a challenge to find pet care providers who understand senior pet needs. Helping to alleviate that stress is a big part of why we decided to join the Rover team. Here's what we can offer: - Lots of quality time each and every day. I work from home full time and will be able to attend to your pet's needs as they arise. - If your pet needs medications administered, just let us know. It's so stressful leaving your pet with someone, and it's doubly so when your pet needs daily medication to ensure a good quality of life. Our job is to ensure your pet's comfort and health during their stay with us. - Updates that fit your needs! We love to send pictures, videos, and check ins as often as you like! Our local friends have entrusted us with the care of their pets for many years and we're excited to share our skills in in-home pet care with you! Our St. Petersburg home has a nice sized, fully fenced in, mulched back yard with lots of room for your pup to play, sniff, and explore! If we need to leave our home during your pet's stay, we can crate your dog to ensure their safety. Our home is designed for comfort and there are lots of soft, comfy cuddle spots available for naps. When it's time for bed, we're happy to accommodate your pet's needs to match their routine in their own home. Does your dog sleep in the bed at night? No problem. Do they prefer to be crated? We can do that! Just let us know how we can make your pet's visit as enjoyable and stress free as possible.
Reviews
Jessica and Jason took excellent care of Quincy, our 2 year old Australian Shepherd. They sent updates (including photos) daily. We abswill use them again when we're back in the area.
What a loving and sweet couple. They loved Ivy and Ivy loved them
Jessica and Jason were SO accommodating - I needed a super last minute sitter (day of), dropped Eddie off late in the evening and picked him up in the morning, and he had a lot of fun at his sleepover he didn't want to leave.
Jessica & Jason took AMAZING care of my fur babies! They sent great updates and I was put at ease during my trip. You can tell my doggos had a great time. I highly recommend them!!

Information Jessica & Jason E. would like to know about your pet
- Health concerns - All dogs must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and current on their flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. - Any behavioral issues such as separation anxiety, digging, mouthing, etc. - Is your pet fully house trained? - What level of exercise do they need each day? - How often would you like to receive updates and photos about your pet? - What are your current training goals? Is your pet learning a new trick? Let us know so we can reinforce those learning efforts! - What are your pet's triggers? Are they afraid of men? People in hats? Crowded spaces? Fireworks? Knowing these triggers ahead of time will allow us to prevent putting your dog in an uncomfortable situation!
A typical day
Our back yard is our little getaway and we spend a good amount of time there every day. There's plenty of room for zoomies and exploration! On a typical pet-sitting weekday, we start the day with a morning potty break followed by a fresh breakfast. During the day, we take lots of breaks for cuddles, pets, and scritches. (And maybe a T-R-E-A-T or two!) We encourage owners to provide their pet's favorite toys so we can play during the day. After work, it's time to relax on the couch, watch some TV, and get ready for the next day. On the weekends, we love to go to the beach or one of the many dog friendly establishments here in downtown St Pete. If that's an activity your dog enjoys, we're happy to bring them along with your permission. (We're also happy to enjoy a weekend at home if that suites your dog's preferences.)
