Pet care experience
Hello there! My name is Jessica, and I'm an ideal companion for your pet. I grew up with cats and dogs in our home, and currently have my own fur kitty. She is currently on vacation with Grandma but will be back in the winter. I've had the pleasure of caring for dogs and cats for family and friends. Most of my experience is with cats and I feel very comfortable giving medicine to cats (IV, shots, and pills). I know how to give a cat their space or engage in play. I do also have experience with all sizes of dogs but more so from 1+ to elderly. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and in general spending time with any animal. I always want to make sure they are taken care of and given the attention that they need. I believe in open communication, and I'm eager to provide regular updates and photos of your pet's adventures while you're away. With me, your pet will receive reliable care.
Reviews
She was great with Nemo, seemed to be really good with cats. Knows when to give him space and when to give him attention, it seems like he did well while we were gone! She also kept our place clean and tidy while staying here. We really appreciated her taking care of Nemo, would recommend to anyone looking for a pet sitter (especially cats).
Jessica was very communicative and shared lots of photos while I was away. She was very patient with my large puppy. :)
Jessica was prompt, followed my requests for care, and sent updates throughout her stay. She is great with dogs; our pup was instantly drawn to her. We will be using Jessica again.

Safety, trust & environment
When pets stay in my home, I create a comfortable and pet-friendly environment, ensuring they have their dedicated space to relax and play. Regular feeding, daily walks, interactive play sessions, and ample cuddle time are all part of the routine to keep them happy and healthy. When caring for pets in the client's home, I prioritize maintaining a familiar and stress-free environment for them. I adhere to their regular schedule, ensuring consistency in feeding, walks, and playtime. Beyond the basic needs, I offer companionship and affection to ease any separation anxiety and make them feel loved while their owners are away. Communication is vital in both scenarios, and I keep pet owners updated with regular messages, photos, and even video calls if desired. Safety is of utmost importance, and I ensure that all doors and gates are secure, hazardous items are out of reach, and I am well-informed about any medical needs or special instructions.
Information Jessica J. would like to know about your pet
It is important to inform me of any special needs, quirks, or preferences your pet has that you are aware of. This can include your dog doesn't like to cross a certain street, enjoys bringing acorns home, can't pee in a certain area, etc. It would also be great to know if your dog has any triggers (that one house on the corner) or prefers to be fed a certain way.
A typical day
Each dog has their unique preferences and energy levels, so I always tailor the activities to suit their individual needs. Some of the fun activities we can do include: Playtime at the Park: If the dog enjoys socializing with other furry friends, we'll head to the local dog park for some off-leash playtime and interaction. Nature Walks: I love taking dogs on scenic nature walks or hikes, exploring trails where they can sniff around, discover new scents, and get some fresh air and exercise. I have my own car and feel comfortable transporting your dog. Interactive Games: Engaging in games like fetch, tug-of-war, or puzzle toys not only provide physical stimulation but also keep their minds sharp and entertained. Doggy Day Out: Sometimes, a special outing to a pet-friendly café or outdoor pet event can be a great way to break the routine and add some excitement. As for walks, I have some favorite spots that are dog-friendly and safe, such as local parks with well-maintained paths, quiet residential neighborhoods with minimal traffic, and scenic trails with beautiful surroundings. I always ensure the walking environment matches the dog's personality and comfort level, allowing them to enjoy their walk to the fullest.
