Pet care experience
I grew up with horses, pigs, cats, and dogs and helped my dad at his Veterinary clinic for most of my life. I held a lot of responsibility in taking care of my family's pets, showed pigs in 4-H for 8 years (which is a lot of work!), and occasionally would house sit or do drop in visits and walks for other families in town. I have a lot of experience administering oral drugs to animals and a little bit of experience administering injections from helping out at the Veterinary clinic. I am an active person so I am happy to hike, run, or walk with your pet but I am also very willing and able to adapt to your pet's needs if that means snuggling on the couch!

Thanks for always taking such good care of skittles!
Skittles loved Jessica’s company! Thanks for being such a wonderful (and communicative) companion!
Jessica was great and very responsive. Tucker loved staying with her! Will definitely have her sit him again ☺️

My house has a fairly large fenced yard and I live near Playfair Park and Pattee Canyon, so there is lots of opportunity to run, walk, and hike! I live with my boyfriend who is happy to help out with your pet as well and overall our house is a pretty quiet environment. We do have a one year old puppy named Caddis who is a Golden Retriever/German Wirehaired Pointer mix. He loves to play but we are teaching him boundaries and he listens exceptionally well. He also spent a lot of time with cats the first few months of his life, so he is fairly indifferent to them. If your pet doesn't get along with Caddis, there are definitely measures we can take to keep them apart! We also have a kitten named Kahlua, she was under socialized when we got her from the Humane Society, so she is learning to trust people and explore the house. We are working on getting her used to Caddis, but are keeping her apart from other dogs for now. We have a room for her to hide out in from other dogs, so we are still able to board your pet, even if they are not the best with cats.

Information Jessica J. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting your pet, I like to know how they do with other dogs and with cats. I also like to know how they do in a fenced in yard and if they can jump a fence or if they dig holes or chew on things. In case we go to the river or on a hike where there are not many other people or dogs, I like to know how they do off leash.
A typical day
I like to hike, trail run, and go on walks. I live near a couple parks, so we can play fetch and run around. Since I have another dog, there is lots of toys to play with. Depending on your pet, I am also happy to hangout at home and chill.

Availability
I am currently attending Physical Therapy School, so I am on campus from around 8am until at least 5pm every day. I have weekends free, but cannot guarantee that I will be at home all day to supervise your pet. If you are looking to get your pet out of the house while you are gone and they do well in a fenced in yard unsupervised, then I am happy to board them and they will definitely get some exercise playing with Caddis all day! I am able to do drop ins and house sit for your pet as well, but during the week I will only be available before 8am and after 5pm. On the weekends, I have more flexibility and can work something out with you!
