Pet care experience
I cater to many special needs dogs. In many cases, dogs that other places may not accommodate, be it due to breed restrictions, (strong breeds, such as Bullies, Mastiffs, GSDs, etc.) reactive behaviour, or unaltered dogs. I have a strong background in canine rehabilitation and behaviour modification, having been a certified obedience trainer for 12 years (currently CPDT-KA). I have worked in the pet care field for over 20 years, from shelter and kennel worker, to bather, daycare attendant, dog walker and vet assistant. I have also been actively involved in Pit Bull rescue, and strong breeds are my passion! I share my home with a Rottweiler, and Carlin Pinschers. I work full time from home, as a dog care provider, and mother of a toddler. Our home is very well set up to meet all of our canine clientele's needs, including professional grooming service offered by my best friend and colleague, November, at Insanity Barks (currently grooming will not be available until the fall, as November recently had a baby)! ***WE REQUIRE PROOF OF UP-TO-DATE VACCINES AND A MONTHLY FLEA/TICK/WORM PREVENTION, SUCH AS ADVANTAGE MULTI OR REVOLUTION, BEFORE YOUR DOG CAN STAY HERE.*** Unfortunately it is a liability to the other dogs in our home if these things are not covered! We also cannot accommodate last minute bookings, in most cases, especially if you cannot provide this information. This is for the safety of all dogs in our care. We also do ask that clients please be crate trained, because I do use crates for bedtime and at times during the day that I can not immediately supervise (grocery shopping, etc.). We are insured and bonded, and I have never had an incident in the 10 years I've been offering pet sitting out of my home, because I never leave dogs out together unsupervised. With that said, there are plenty of opportunities for client dogs to play and socialize together, if they are friendly. We have a large fenced dog run, complete with giant toy bin, and kiddie pool during the summer months. For dogs who are less social, we can accommodate quiet one-on-one time. We use a combination of x-pens and baby gates to divide areas of our home, so that even non-dog-social dogs can feel comfortable in their own space. Our sleeping area is equipped with large dog beds and cots, a flatcreen TV for ambient sound and light, as well as a DAP diffuser and essential oils to help provide a relaxing stay. Due to the extra measures that we have to take now due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are not offering tours of the inside of our house at this time, as I have a toddler and immune-compromised husband. I have uploaded pictures of the inside of our home, so that people can get an idea of our setup. I also have a very good, long-standing reputation that speaks for itself, and can offer references and reviews, for peace of mind. We still invite clients over for a Meet n' Greet walk, with masks and appropriate social distancing. I am always happy to answer questions at any time!

We booked last minute and she was super accomodating! Highly recommended! ❤️
Our little girl Fran had the best time at Jessica's! Jessica was accommodating to our dog's needs and very responsive. We would definitely recommend!
Jessica did a great job with my two rescue dogs with issues. They will literally let me know if they were unhappy in boarding by vocalizing on the way home, but their return was seamless and they were in good spirits. Rather than isolating them as previous boarders have done, Jessica went to the trouble of slowly and properly introducing my dog-reactive dogs to her own dog and her other boarder, with impressive success.
Jessica was extremely friendly and accommodating with my last minute request with Bo! He had ample space in his crates area, took him out during his potty schedule, fed him according to schedule, and made sure he was as comfortable as possible during his stay. I would definitely book with her again!
