Providing Relief While You're Out

Pet care experience

👉👉Snappy Info for Brief Looking 1) I offer onboarding, house sitting, pet walking, drop-ins, and doggy daycare 2) I also offer pet taxi and grooming 3) I have experiences with older/elderly dogs, puppies, kittens and cats 4) I have knowledge of how to administer oral medications (pill and with syringes) and shots 5) I charge for Meet and Greets outside of a radius from my home and work 6) Below is more detailed information on my grooming charges, Meet and Greet charges, and experience with animals ✍️ I know my page has a lot of information that might turn you off, but I only added what I thought would help give first impression insight and important, relatable details about myself and my experiences with dogs and cats. 📝Quick Stuff About Me: •I'm 29 •I have two dogs (a Toy Poodle who is 11 and a Pekeapoo who is 9) •I have two adopted cats (a gray tabby who is ~4 and a calico that is ~6/7 months old) •All the cats I've ever owned since I was 12 have been adopted off the streets (Patches, Whitey, Kitkat, Mellow, Taz (TC), Piebald, Ember, Lunar, and Trico) •I live in an area that has an unfenced yard that has decent space for leashed activities and a walking trail nearby through some light woods •I volunteer at a cat cafe and a horse haven 📌My Experiences with Older/Elderly Dogs: •My oldest dog was almost 17 years old before she passed. Despite her age, she acted much younger than what she was with the way she wanted to run around and play fight with my other dogs and myself •I was mindful of her sensitive spots and aging body, being careful with how hard I tugged a toy or playfully messed around or how much I pushed her without straining her too much •She got extra vitamins and specific food for elderly dogs to help her stay as healthy as possible. I also had to make sure her food was soft and easy to eat because she lost a lot of her teeth •Walks had to be moderated despite the energy she seemed to display, so they had to be more frequent in shorter lengths •The unfortunate case of Baby being the first dog that I had that lived so long was that we weren't aware of her failing kidneys until she started showing symptoms, which we mistakenly thought was dog dementia (the symptoms she showed were very similar) •Because of the way Baby's health altered suddenly and declined, I've become hyper-aware (maybe almost paranoid) with how my other pets act and behave, especially my two dogs as they are getting up there 📌My Experiences with Dogs that have Social Anxiety and Suffer from General Stresses: •My Toy Poodle has general anxiety, separation anxiety, and is sensitive to different things that can cause stress - varying noises of sort of loud to really loud (examples of ranges: dropping a box of pasta, thunder, fireworks, car alarms, loud stomping, heavy rain, loud voices/yelling, etc), her chosen person leave despite other people being in the house, depending on how you look at her she can immediately leave a room with an obvious fear in her body language, car rides, and several other examples but the list would get too long describing them •Unfortunately, Toy Poodles are easily susceptible to separation anxiety and trouble dealing with stress, especially in unstable environments, and Roxy has these issues because of conflicting puppy training methods between two different people from when she was younger •I help her with her stress levels and anxieties by trying to keep a calm, quiet space, but pretty much anything can spook her or make her sulk off to hide. I've tried those calming scents, blankets, and pills, but they never showed much progress in helping her •Having Roxy has taught me new ways of how to be gentle and careful with a dog that has ranging anxieties and how to interact with her separately compared to my other dogs that have never displayed such radical levels like she has - sometimes she just wants to be in the same room but not near anyone or sometimes she wants to sit/lay with you because she needs that touch of someone to help her calm down 📌My Experiences with Puppies and Puppy Training: •Over the years I've learned different ways of training a puppy from going to PetSmart classes to reading forums/articles and watching videos, and while it has been a few years since I last had a puppy to train, I've had plenty of puppies of different breeds •My last puppy was a Pomeranian named Clement, and I had developed a schedule and routine with him that fit his little personality and quick ability to learn, such as sit and when to go into his little gated area and potty training. •My weakness is probably puppies. I always have this deep urge to just buy them everything from all sorts of flavored chewing bones and clothes and toys •Watching over a puppy and training them from the start is vastly different from helping strays readapt to a home life, but it's just as, if not, more rewarding in its own ways. Of course, there is the common constant and individual to the puppy issues, but if you have the time, patience, room, capability, and persistence, the puppies work with you in becoming another awesome family member 📌My Experiences with Medication for Animals •Of course with all these different animals health issues and injuries are bound to occur, so I have experience with: 1) giving oral medications (pills) for pain 2) giving vet recommended vitamins 3) giving shots 4a) giving oral medicine for antibiotics (liquid in a syringe) 4b) giving oral medicine for antibiotics (taken from multiple bottles that needs different sized syringes) 5) giving medicine on a schedule based on how often during a day for however long is necessary •If an animal has medication that requires experience out of my realm of comfort or ability, I would like to know up front and preferably an example shown to me so I can see firsthand how you do it •If an animal has a schedule of pills, dietary necessity, or required water intake, I would feel most comfortable with a detailed schedule 🤝Meet and Greets! •I feel comfortable with Meet and Greets first, and I would like to bring one of my dogs to meet the other dog and introduce them to each other, if feasible, regarding boardings, daycare, or overnight stays. •Meet and Greets are must-haves - I will not agree to book a request without first meeting you or your pets to ensure professionalism and as a safety precaution in case something happens. •M&Gs will be in a public area outside during the day wherever is best when we are able to both meet •For record keeping, reference sake, safety and protection of your pets, and peace of mind for all involved, I will have a questionnaire that I can either ask or you can fill out. There will be different questions and some may seem dumb or irrational to ask, but it is a part of my process. 🤝💳Meet and Greet Fees: •If I'm in the area, I can reduce the price to $0, but I will still require the M&G as a drop-in visit to both ensure professionalism and safety to both parties for tracking records •The fee is a mileage fee, so if I have to journey outside of my current area (20 miles away from my house or 15 miles from my work location), there will be a small fee required •I will be more than happy to discuss the fee and total before anything is decided! Example: 35 miles to booking - 20 from house/15 miles from work area = 15/20 miles charged -15 miles out= $8 ((15 miles × .55 cents = ~$8 rounded down)) -20 miles out = $11 ((20 miles × .55 cents =$11)) -Each mile is .55 cents, based on the IRS mileage rate. ✂️Grooming options UNAVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT 1) Full Grooming Package Simple face, fur between paws, and private area trimmings Cleaning ears Simple bath/quick rinse off or deep rinse/medicated bath Clipping nails Brushing teeth Shave paw pads Clipping/shaving fur (length can be discussed) 2) Matted Fur Package Clipping/shaving fur to a length just low enough to go under the tangled, matted fur Simple bath or deep rinse/medicated bath Simple face, fur between paws, and private area trimmings Shaving paw pads Time determent on fur thickness - brushing coat 3) Deshedding Package Deshedding bath with the specific shampoo and conditioner Blow out/blowdrying with a high velocity dog-specific dryer Brushing out with deshedding brushes (brush dependent on dog breed) Shaving paw pads Note: A protective head wrap will be placed over the dogs' ears to protective them from the noise and blast of air while the dryer is going 4)Simple Grooming Package Simple face and private area trimmings Clipping nails Clipping/shaving fur for quick, low maintenance cut Brushing unknotted, not matted fur out 5)Touch-up Grooming Package Clipping/trimming nails Simple face and private area trimmings 5-10 (or determinate on dog size and thickness of fur) minute brushing on unknotted, not matted fur to keep brushed out ▪️Tiny (Micro, Toy, Teacup) Dogs | Dogs Under 10 lbs▪️ Full Grooming Package - $20 Matted Fur Package - $15 Deshedding Package - $13-18 Simple Grooming Package - $13 Touch-up Grooming Package - $10 ◾Small (Miniature, Toy) Dogs | Dogs Between 11-25 lbs Full Grooming Package - $35 Matted Fur Package - $20-28 Deshedding Package - $15-25 Simple Grooming Package - $18-20 Touch-up Grooming Package - $15 ◼️ Medium (Standard, Miniature) Dogs | Dogs Between 23-60 lbs ◼️ Full Grooming Package - $30-50 Matted Fur Package - $25-40 Deshedding Package - $25-40 Simple Grooming Package - $23-30 Touch-up Grooming Package - $18-20 🔳 Large Dogs | Dogs Between 55-85 lbs 🔳 Full Grooming Package - $40-65 Matted Fur Package - $30-50 Deshedding Package - $30-40 Simple Grooming Package - $25-35 Touch-up Grooming Package - $25 ⬛ Extra Large (Giant, Great, Big, Tall) Dogs | 90+ lbs ⬛ Simple Grooming Package - $40-55 Touch-up Package - $30-35 ✂️Add-ons: Brushing teeth - $10 Shaving paw pads -$5 Medicated baths (itching, flea/ticks, allergies) - $15-25 - if you have your own essentials, the price will be adjusted cheaper ✂️Grooming for Cats Simple brushing (brush determinate on fur) - 15 minutes ($5), 30 minutes ($10), 45-60 minutes ($15) Nail trimming - $8 Trimming private area - $8 Simple bath - $10 Deep rinse/medicated bath - $15 Spray-on foam to wash cats that dislike water/baths- $13 Ear cleaning - $3 ‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICES ‼️ 1) - I am only willing to do this with dogs that are experienced with groomers and the tools used by them, no aggression or bite history, and have low anxiety levels. I only have basic knowledge because of working with my own small dogs, so I'm not willing to push an animal or myself beyond comfort levels for safety reasons 2) - The moment a dog attempts to bite me or gets aggressive in body language I will stop attempting to groom them 3) - For first time grooming sessions, I would recommend you staying to watch how I interact with your dog and how your dog interacts with me for a coupe of reasons - to make sure you approve of how I'm handling your dog, how your dog is responding to me, if you like my treatment towards your dog, and to watch my process 4) - Extra large dogs are not something I will attempt full grooming or more complicated packages on - take them to professionals 5) - I'm not comfortable doing special need dogs or easily strung out dogs - take them to a professional 6) - Not all cats enjoy taking a bath and can get violent and thrash about to escape - I will not place myself at risk getting scratched or bitten if your cat fights back to escape the tub

📌Caring for Your Pets in Your Home 1) Drop-ins •Depending on what you are needing done and for how long, food and water replenishment will first be done. Cat litter boxes will be checked and cleaned, if necessary, and dogs will be taken out for a brisk walk, if required, and potty time. If you would like me to spend a little quality time with the pets to just give them a little socialization, then I'd be happy to spend 15-30 minutes either playing or chilling with them. 2) Dog Walking •15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or up to an hour is what I can devote to walking your dog(s). 15 minutes will be charged at a cheaper rate compared to 45 and 60 minute walks, so that will be changed after confirming the length of the walk. If you have cats that are trained to walk on a leash or harness trained, I'd be more than willing to walk them as long as I have your reassurance that they actually are okay to be walked like a dog. •Cats will have their own charge - $18 - that will be changed to reflect that price 3) Doggy Daycare •Because of my schedule with my day shift job (T, W, F, Sat - until 5 in the evening) I can only sparingly do daycare sessions on Th, Sun, and M. •Notice - I have two dogs that can get along lukewarmly with other dogs and two cats that are used to our dogs but skittish around new dogs. So, taking pets for daycare and onboarding will be a picky process before accepting and M&Gs with one of my dogs to make sure they can get along will be a must, for safety reasons. •Notice 2 - I'm more than willing to pick up and drop off your pet back at your house, but there will be an additional charge for the mileage 4) Onboarding •Same with Doggy Daycare. I can only do seldom onboarding with the same requirements. I can take a pet overnight from Wednesday to Thursday evening or I can do a couple days from Saturday night to Monday evening. 5) Overnight Stays •Depending on location for this request and what days, these overnights might alter between all day stays and me returning home during the night. I am still a stranger despite the transaction and trust taking place regarding being in your house and watching over your pets. •I do have to work 5-6.5 hours on certain days but I would immediately return to your house afterwards to stay and spend time with your animals. If I left and returned home for the night, I would come back first thing in the morning to take care of the pets. This is a side job for me right now, and my main job does take precedence, unfortunately. •Because housesitting is a bigger requirement and I will have to reside in your house for a while, I am not opposed to doing basic chores to help keep your house clean - vacuuming, dusting, trash, things like that. There will be a small additional charge if you're wanting more than a simple "cleaning up after myself" chore list. •I do require Meet and Greets and a tour of the home before the booking for safety. If you have cameras, please, absolutely, let me know up front. If hidden cameras are discovered in suspicious places, I will immediately cancel the stay and you will have to find a replacement sitter. 6) Pet Taxi •Technically not a service provided from Rover, but I would be willing to take your pets to vet appointments or parks for the day or to other locations that you wouldn't be able to because of work, life circumstances, or emergencies. •The costs will be based on a base pay and mileage expenses (distance from owner's house), but this will be discussed before anything is set in stone! 7) Pet Baths and Basic Grooming •This is offered on drop-ins and and boardings, but I can offer baths - rinsing feet off, simple wash, or deep wash. Going outside on walks dogs can come back a bit stinky, so I understand wanting to have a fresh smelling and clean dog not ranking up the furniture - or at the very least clean paws! •Regarding grooming, I have basic experience with trimming nails, experience using a grooming kit, teeth brushing, fur brushing, and face and butt trimming. •Expenses are listed above 📌Additional Stuff: •If you have fish or birds or reptiles, I would be more than pleased to help upkeep and take care of them too, but I would need details and explanations beyond fish, lol

Information Jessica H. would like to know about your pet

‼️I do have some rules and stipulations‼️ NO aggressive dogs! NO hyper active dogs with history of destroying stuff. NO females dogs while in heat and/or bleeding. NO dogs that have contagious illnesses or diseases or without proper shots. •I will require to see updated, recent paper for your pets. •I would need to know if the dog has any special needs, any behavioral issues, any disabilities (mental, emotional, or physical), any special diets, aggression problems, allergies, if the dog is allergic to anything AND everything, sensitive spots (spots that hurt them or they don't like being touched), etc. If your dog has any aggressive problems from other dogs, problems with loud noises, stimulation issues, please be up front with me about it. •I will not take pets that have attacked other animals in the past for no reason aside from being aggressive or territorial outside of their home/yard. •Please let me know if you feed them any special/specific food, like for health reasons or dietary needs. If you have a particular food you use exclusively, then you should bring enough of that along for the expected stay. •This isn't a necessity, but if your dog is scared or nervous, or just generally does better with their own items, toys, or beds, please bring them along. It helps your dog to know a scent from its own item, like a leash, or smell from your home, like a bed, to get get adjusted to visiting or staying at my home.

A typical day

•I like to go on jogs, sometimes up to an hour with my youngest dog, so long walks are definitely on my list of Fun Things to do. There's a decent walking trail super close to my home that I take my pets walking on. •Outside of my house a typical day and range and differ between each cat and dog. If there's a preferred park or running trail, I would love to take your dog there, granted I get permission. Some stays can be energetic and very stimulating, others could be slothful and lazy and just enjoying company with someone while their main people are out. •I order from BarkBox, so I have a lot of unused toys, barely used toys, and toys that have seen their use and beyond. I would be more than happy to bring some for your dogs (or playful kittens/cats) to play with while I'm there or to keep if they enjoy it. If your dog(s) are fans of car rides and pointless driving just to see the sites and stick their heads out windows, I'd be down to drive them around - one of my own dogs is very enthusiastic about letting me know she loves when she goes out with me by barking at passing things and trying to extend herself too far out the window for that wind in her face. •If your pet(s) have an established routine that they enjoy/is done for their quality of life, I'm more than willing to help them stick to it while you're out/gone so they aren't disrupted any more than necessary with your momentary absence. •If preferred/necessary, I can take pictures and/or videos to update the status of the pet(s) for the owner.

‼️I DO NEED A TWO/THREE WEEK ADVANCE ON HOUSE-SITTING/BOARDING REQUESTS SO I CAN ADJUST MY WORK SCHEDULE PROPERLY‼️ 🗓️My Schedule/Availability: •I do work a day job on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until 4/5 pm, hours vary daily and sometimes I'm not scheduled on those days •I work in the Knox county area, so that is where my selection of work will probably stem. I do live in a different county, so I can do requests around and in-between these two areas
