Pet care experience
I have lifelong experience with dogs, cats, and chickens. Time with animals is a big stress reliever. During the week till about mid day (most days) I work as a Gardener and Floral Designer at O'Henry Hotel. When I'm not gardening I prefer to be pet sitting! I know how hard it is to leave your pet when life calls. I can help take the worries away and give them some love. I have patience with all pet ages and a sharp eye for keeping them safe. While I play with them I’m as entertained as they are. A pet is just as much a part of the family as a child and I know how important it is to care for their personalized needs. I can come to you for a walk or stay, or they can stay with me at my condo that has soft doggy beds, toys, and a yard with plenty of squirrels to watch.

Jessica is great with our girls (2 Yorkies). They love her and so do we! She has done overnight sitting and walking for us. She is consistent, caring and considerate. I am an over protective pet parent and I hate to leave the dogs when I travel. Jessica kindly replies to all my queries and concerns and she sends me pictures when I'm away. When staying overnight, she will often attend to things, like taking out the trash, before I ask. She's great!

I love having a message or document of your pets care to reference and will follow that to a T. In the case where I have minimal specific instructions I will come visit your pet, slowly introduce myself and try to gain their trusts with some pets or treat. I will spend time with them and use any nearby toys or brushes for entertainment. I'd let them into the backyard, or put them into a harness/leash for a walk and bathroom break. When it's dinner time I'll give them dinner and sit with them while they eat to make sure they feel safe and that no pet siblings are stealing others food. If I'm staying the night I'll take them out for a once-before-bed walk and bathroom break and then let them into the room I'm staying in and in general hang out in the same room as them during my stay. I'd take pictures of their activities to update you and reach out with any questions or concerns that arise during my visit with your pet so you know what's going on at all times.

It's important for me to know any medications your pet is taking and any dangerous behaviors they may have. Such as being an escape artist. Risky behaviors are not deal breakers for me, most dogs have some mischief they like to get into. It's helpful as well to know what time your pet wakes up in the morning and expects to go out and what time they expect to eat. If they receive a treat after a task like taking a walk that would also be nice to know so I can give them the reward they expect.
A typical day
If your pet has a favorite toy or game they like to play, like fetch or tug of war I'd love to do that. I also enjoy taking pets on walks and running around with them in a backyard if there is one and it's secure. I tend to walk a dog in an area they are used to like their neighborhood unless otherwise requested - due to some dogs being nervous in new areas! My goal would be to engage with them and inspire them to participate in some psychical activity.

Weekdays I am available in the late afternoon and possibly overnight, don't hesitate to check my availability. Weekends are free for visits or overnights unless I'm on a family visit that I take occasionally.
