Caring for your animal like u want

Pet care experience

I have had a love of animals since birth. I’ve had cats and dogs all my life. At age 5 I became enamored with animal care while at my grandmother’s grooming shop. I was the child who coaxed cats home. I studied per-veterinary medicine in high school, with an internship of 3 months with Stray Rescue of St. Louis and 5 months with Grantview Animal Hospital. During this time I gained my cat gimpy from our in house animals we cared for. She had a severe infection in her deformed ankle joint and her mother refused to care for her or keep her in the cage. Once given a course of antibiotics the mother returned to caring for her. I then worked for a specialty veterinary hospital before attending Jefferson College for Veterinary Technology. We were given a neonate puppy or kitten to raise as part of our curriculum. He was 12 when he crossed over the rainbow bridge. I then worked for and use as my vet hospital to this day, Belkin Animal Hospital. I received on job training for veterinary assistant and some veterinary technology skills. I still continue to try and update my education and keep current skills fresh even though I am no longer working for a veterinary clinic/hospital. I try to keep my availability open. I currently have one recurring job of house cleaning on Thursday mornings. I am however available after 2pm on Thursday. I also have a fitness class during the day at noon on Sunday’s for one hour. As well as Wednesdays at 6pm for one hour. Any days I am truly not available I will mark on my schedule. I always try to arrive early and if late will inform clients of that fact. *NOTE for DOG BOARDING in my home* I have a 10 year old domestic short hair cat who has tendencies toward violence against dogs of all sizes. We try to prevent her from hurting any of our personal pets but it has happened (did not result in vet visit). So please keep that in mind if you ever choose boarding in my home. ~My Pets~ -Pickles, German Shepherd/Great Dane/ Labrador mix, 8 years old, neutered male, good with cats/dogs/kids -Mocha Bean, chihuahua/rat terrier mix, 2-3 years old, spayed female, skiddish but good with dogs/cats -Kitten, domestic short hair, 15lbs, 10 years old, spayed female, likes boy cats/hates new cats/likes to pin dogs in corner all dogs/will go head to head with small dogs -Little Face Bones, domestic short hair, 5 lbs, 4years old, neutered male, super skiddish with new things/has to be pushed to lash out/hates new cats/ok with dogs.

Jessica is my go to girl when it comes to my pets. She's a reliable dog sitter and walker, wonderful with animals of all kinds, and she's also great at giving advice when I have basic or medical questions about my pets. My animals are super excited and happy when Jessica G. comes to our house. Can't wait until her next visit!

Jess has cleaned for me for several years. During that time she provided care for my 2 cats when I was traveling. I could be easy that they were safe. In the last 3 years, I have only 1 cat. He suffers from diabetes and allergy. He also reacts poorly to a car trip. Jess has allowed me to not take him to a groomer by maintaining his nails and ears. He doesn't always cooperate and she is able to deal with his stubbornness. She continues to care for him when I travel The quality of her care is great and consistent.

-How are they with new people? - How are they with encountering people, animals, other dogs, cars, and etc on walks? -Do they need any special care (diet, physical restrictions, storms, separation anxiety, etc)? - Special things they like (being covered by blankets, special treats, special toys, favorite places to go, etc)? - Are there any areas in your home or furniture that they are restricted from? - Any recurrent bad behavior (tearing up mail, tearing up furniture, getting into trash and, yard escape artist, etc.)? - Crating rules - Who are the emergency contacts (veterinarian, person in town <if available>, owner cell phone)? No breed preferences.

A typical day

The possibilities are immense. We have lots of dog parks, parks, a few hiking trails, rivers, lakes, and open spaces in and around Saint Louis. Neighborhood walks are good with treats, breaks for petting, stops for cool downs in the shade, and etc. Also backyard playtime can be fun for dogs who like to play fetch or enjoy moderate play. Inside play can be just as fun too rolling and tossing toys short distances, hide and seek, training for treats, snuggles, tug of war, keep away, and etc.
