Hello! My name is Jessica. I’m currently a vet tech working at an emergency and referral animal hospital. I have worked at multiple hospitals, and various other establishments in the animal care industry. I work primarily with dogs and cats, but also have a soft spot, and knowledge of the exotics. Due to my experience in the veterinary emergency room, I am able to identify, and immediately begin treatment in any situation that may arise while you are away. From seizures, to bite wounds, to ingesting foreign material. I can also monitor and track vital signs for patients in wavering health, and always carry my own animal first aid kid and stethoscope. I have had professional training administering IV, IM, and Sub-Q injections/fluids, and I pride myself on calmly being able to pill even the most challenging of patients. I’m familiar with drug interactions, and commonly prescribed dosing. I currently work in the clinical pathology lab at the hospital Wednesday through Saturday. If your pet is not accustomed to being left alone during work hours, I am able to take them to work with me. They would be set up in a large cage or run with all the blankets and beds a pet could ask for. Prescription and non-prescription food available, with attention and walks throughout the day.
