Pet care experience
Hello! I am a 22 year old college student studying Architecture and I am currently living in Portland, Oregon. I have owned and cared for 2 dogs throughout their entire lifetime and have lived with many dogs since then. During grade school I had a small business where I took care of various dogs and housesat (watered plants, checked mail, dusted/vacuumed etc.) for the owners while they were out of town or at work. Currently, I do not own a pet but very much miss being able to take care of a dog. I am very active and enjoy going on long walks, so I feel that the new dog-walking feature offered on Rover would be perfect. With the current virus situation, I am an solely online student with lots of availability and flexibility. Very responsible, compassionate, and creative individual with references if needed. Jessica is caring, professional and dependable. My "Emma" has been well cared and she goes above and beyond what I expected from a care giver. She is also flexible. I have called on her so many times last minute and she was able to accommodate my crazy schedule each and every time. Jessica is the best!!
Jess was an incredible caregiver for Dober. I tried many dog caregivers over the years and Jess was by far the very best one I've ever had. In addition to being very responsible and very responsive to my requests, they truly developed a unique connection that I would not have thought possible as my dog was getting old. Jess gave Dober the love and care he needed during his last weeks when I couldn't be there for him. I really appreciate everything she has done for him and have recommended her to all my friends since then!

Definitely no breed preferences! I have taken care of the dogs less than 10 lbs all the way up to dogs around 100 lbs. The only concern I would have about dogs over 100 lbs would be my ability in strength if they were pulling at the leash. I would like owners to make me aware of certain abnormal tendencies about their pet and any restrictions they would like me to follow. Other than that, I am very aware of dog behaviors and will be paying close attention to every movement/sound/expression the dog gives me.
A typical day
I would go to parks, large spans of grass, trails in the woods, and on sidewalks through downtown (if permissible by owner).
