I've been working in Animal Health in California and British Columbia for the last 10 years. I operate The Mighty Paw, small company focusing on off-leash adventure hikes and ultrasonically-scaled anesthethic-free teeth cleaning service for dogs. I've been offering Dog Walking, Off-Leash Adventure Hikes and Client-Home Boarding for the last 8 years. I also have experience in home visits for cats. I'm Experienced in the following areas: Animal Behavior, positive & negative reinforcement techniques, agility and frisbee, tricks training, positive reinforcement, socialization, hand signals for hearing-impaired dogs, special needs dogs and seniors. All dogs are walked with non-slip martingale collars. These are provided by me for all visits. All sizes are available and reliable. Currently have open availability. I need to know if your pup's are reactive with the following: other dogs, children. Also let me know if you have dog who is leash reactive (great off-leash with other dogs, not so nice while on lead). If you maintain strict boundaries with your pup at home (ie: not sleeping in the bed, not on couch, etc.) I'll need to know. If you're interested in having me for overnight stays, my 20lb Mini Aussie MUST be able to stay. He is my Seizure Alert dog.
A typical day
Off-leash parks (if dog is socially-minded), tricks training, frisbee, chuckit, swimming (if your pup is allowed in your pool) & more dependent on available activities and dog's personality. During peak heat times, dogs are taken to shady, grassy areas for walks. Pavement walks are only available at evening/night. I also walk dogs on non-slip collars and proper leads to maintain proper walk etiquette, or training leads to give them some space to play. I do not use Flexi's.
