Pet care experience
Cats, dogs, rodents, reptiles, and other creatures, you name it - I love them! Animals have been a passion of mine ever since I was a small, tiny little human. Rain, shine, or snow... I'm committed to providing phenomenal care for your fluffy (or not-so-fluffy) pets! All tails (including the tailless) are welcome! In my downtime, I enjoy training my dog, Daisy, who is an ETD ATD-M O-B O-H trick dog through Do More With Your Dog. I also enjoy cuddling up with my cat, Pebbles, who is a Master Chaos Causer. I enjoy reading and studying animal behaviour, as well as attending professional development sessions where I can learn more about dog training! Currently, me and Daisy are exploring nosework classes so we can start trialing!
Reviews
Lilly was such a happy girl when I returned home, not just because she was excited to see me, but because she enjoyed her time with Jessica so much that my absence wasn't distressing for her! Jessica took great care of my place and sent such sweet photos of Lilly doing all of her daily activities. Seeing the report cards were the highlight of my trip.
Jessica is the best as always, my cats being taken care of very well!
I lol’d at the hairspray!!! hahaha
Jessica was absolutely wonderful. It was my first time having a pet sitter (or using Rover), and she made it all go well. From her first visit onward, thanks to her great daily reports, I was completely at ease. She took wonderful pictures of how my cat was getting along, gave full reports on how he was behaving and what he was interested in, and was friendly as can be. When I got back from my trip, my cat was clearly in a good mood and in fine shape. I'd recommend her, absolutely. Thanks, Jessica!

I treat all animals (and their homes) with the respect I'd like from others. Your babies will be treated like my own! If you were to spy on me caring for your babies, you would probably witness me having full-fledged conversations with them, occasionally even singing silly songs. I complete Rover cards for every visit, I'm open and flexible to help ensure the needs of your babies are met! Did you know that the Rover Guarantee isn't insurance? This is why I have my own private pet sitting/dog walking insurance in the event that anything were to happen! This protects you, your babies, myself, and your home!
Information Jessica D. would like to know about your pet
Let's schedule a meet and greet so I can learn more about your animal(s) prior to my visit! It will help me better serve you and your pet(s). I have a vehicle and can drive anywhere within the KW region, but prefer to stay within the Kitchener area. For stays that don't take an entire half hour to complete the care necessary for your non-cat/dog animal, I'm open to discussing a discount! For dogs, if you are gone only two nights, I have a minimum requirement of 4-5 visits per day depending on length, breed, age of dog, etc. If you are leaving your dogs at home for more than 2 nights, I recommend finding a house sitter or boarder. For cats, I prefer daily visits, as they can cause chaos within the span of 48 hours. I am open to every other day visits if certain conditions are met. Thank you for your understanding!

Tell me more about your animals and I'd love to help out! From keeping up with training, providing enrichment, medications, and more... I can definitely accommodate your requests. I have taken several courses on dog training, as well as have a pretty good knowledge base on behaviour. I feel confident with all dogs, including high-energy breeds. I absolutely adore cats and would love nothing more than to spend some time with your feline friends. I truly believe your body language and voice is the most powerful tool when interacting with animals! I'm comfortable using various tools such as gentle leaders, slip leads, martingales and others if your dog may need it. I have experience with providing oral and injectable medications. **Frequently Asked Questions:** Q: How do I put my non-cat/dog pet on Rover? A: You can input your non-cat/dog pet as a "dog" when you create their Rover profile. Under breed, search in "other pet". Feel free to input the species and your specific care instructions in the "about your pet" section. **I will discount the price for your non-cat/dog on the booking if applicable! Feel free to reach out and we can discuss.** Q: What animals do you have experience with? A: Many! I have experience with many species of animals, including geckos. I have various snake species, various gecko species, rodents such as rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs, and other exotics such as various fish, arachnids, insects, as well as I have experience with a variety of plants! I do not have personal experience caring for birds, but I'm eager to learn! I would be ecstatic to get my first bird client!
