YOUR PET'S NEW FAVORITE FRIEND!

Pet care experience

Hello fabulous pet parents! My name is Jessica and my goal is to be your pet's new favorite friend! I have 6 years of dog husbandry working for an accredited organization, with 2 years of training experience with positive reinforcement. My strongest training aspect is building confidence. While I don't do training as a main focus, I will work with your pet to make their time with me or outdoors more enjoyable and safe. This also includes house manners. For example, if your dog is a puller on walks, I will work with your dog on not pulling so that when I take your dog out they won't drag me down the street. Another example is if your dog is a persistent jumper, I will work with your dog so that he/she will not jump up on me when excited. If you need a trainer to work on these things personally with you I have great recommendations! I have a lot of knowledge in identifying behavior and problem solving skills for behavior issues. So if your dog is distracted on our walk or showing issues while I'm sitting him/her I can handle them confidently. I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages and know the difference each age range needs for care. I can apply medications whether they be orally, topically or injection, so your senior or sick pups will be in good hands. I will provide plenty of mental stimulation for your pet and adapt to their needs in order for them to receive the mental stimulation to keep them calm and happy. I've traveled by plane on my own 8 times with dogs across the country without incident. I've taken countless road trips up and across the country on my own with multiple dogs without incident. There is nothing about caring for dogs that I am not comfortable and confident with even outside of mine and the dog's comfort zone. While I don't have the same AMOUNT of experience caring for cats, I am just as comfortable with them. Other pets I will sit for include: -Hamsters (I absolutely WILL NOT take them out of their cage and handle them mainly because I would hate for them to escape and get lost) -Chickens and ducks -Snakes and other reptiles -Horses I can guarantee you and your pet will not be disappointed with my services! *It is important to note that if you are considering me for sitting in your home that my personal dog Huck must come with me. I'm single and live alone making me his sole caregiver. He is the best house boy and I can guarantee will not destroy or potty in your home. I bring a couple of toys for him so he won't ruin or destroy your pet's toys. I always clean up after him so that your home is exactly as you left it. Any playtime that might occur between he and your pets will be supervised so nothing breaks and no one gets hurt. Huck is usually off sleeping during down time and will not bother your pets if they don't want to play. He is quite calm for his breed and very respectful of other's space and moods. He is UTD on all of his vaccines which I can provide to you should you request to see them. If you aren't comfortable with him being in your home then I will not be available to sit for your pet(s) unfortunately.

I hired Jessica to watch my female pitbull for a few days. She asked to meet her canine client first as she brings her dog with her when she dog sits. The two dogs hit it off well! Jessica was very personable and easy going. She always responded fast to my messages. You can tell how much she loves dogs. I would definitely hire Jessica again!!

Jessica was wonderful. I knew my pets were in good hands and she assured me of that while I was away. You couldn’t tell someone had been staying in my house while we were gone. She’s already been booked for my next trip!

Jessica is a hidden gem. I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want her to become too popular and get stolen from us!!!! HOWEVER she deserves what I am about to say... Jessica watched our dogs and she was amazing. We suddenly took in a foster dog last minute right before Jessica was to sit for us and she didn't bat an eye. Her flexibility was gracious. Jessica used her background of dog training to help teach this new pup to be more lady like and calm down a lot. She uses her sidekick Huck to accomplish this too. He is a calm, obedient and patient Australian Shepard looking fellow. I met him, he is a good boy. Jessica also taught our other dogs some new tricks (roll over being one!!!). Jess kept us totally informed while we were away and left the house in better shape than we handed it over to her. She also spent a lot of time with our backyard chickens, they gave her two claws up!! Bottom line: Jessica is trustworthy, competent and absolutely kick @$$...we already snagged her for two trips we have coming up this summer. Jessica = enormous score.

Information Jessica C. would like to know about your pet

-Does your dog have any triggers for aggression? (food/toys/parts of the body being touched)? -What distractions does your dog have on a walk? -Any allergies that you know of? -Are they crate trained?

A typical day

Places we'll go! -Dog friendly swimming areas (a lot of the local preserves allow dogs to swim on leash) -Local preserve for some hiking and exploration outside of neighborhood -To get ice cream (A lot of local ice cream shops have small pup cups and these are the best treat on a hot day) Mental stimulation! -Puzzle toys to make your dog work for those treats -Obedience practice -Learning new tricks! (Want your dog to play dead? I can teach that!) -Distraction practice so that walks will be most enjoyable for pet and myself -Peanut butter or yogurt kongs are a great treat after mental exercise! Playtime with Huck (my dog)! Huck is a great playmate. He is not an overbearing player and does a spectacular job at teaching other dogs appropriate social and play behavior. *All activities listed are conditional dependent on the pet. Unless within properly fenced limits your pet will NEVER be off leash under my supervision. All places visited is conditional on your pet's and your/mine comfort and safety. All activities listed will be structured and supervised at all times. I do not take any dogs to the dog park as it is too much of a liability, but I have access to properly fenced yards that they can enjoy safe off leash time if you don't have a fenced yard at your home.
