Playhouse Pooch Boarding

Pet care experience

Hello, Pet Parents! Thank you for taking a minute to read a little about me. My Mom hired me as kennel helper and dog walker when I was 12. She was a dog show handler and has taught me so much. Since then, I’ve had my own dogs, one cat and I’ve also cared for our friend’s pets and family’s pets.

Jessica was the perfect host! She took care of our little pup and he felt right at home. Loved all the updates and pictures she provided! We will definitely ask her to help with our Arnie in the future!

My husband and I went on a long anticipated vacation for 10 days and left our two dogs with Jessica. They had just as good a time as we did! Jessica settled them into a schedule that really worked for them and treated them as if they were her own. We told her one of our dogs would likely eat little due to anxiety, but amazingly she ate every meal! They had lots of play time and Jessica sent us multiple pics every day. They were happy to see us when we got back but I got the feeling they would be just as happy to stay where they were! The only problem is now they want us to play with them as much as Jessica and her family did! I will definitely be booking Jessica again.

They came and watched our lab/husky mix while we were out of town. They loved on him like he was their own. They checked on him a couple of times a day, fed and watered him. They are the best! Thank you and we will be using them again in the future.

My daughter’s, 17 and 20 and my husband will be caring for our pets so I can mainly focus on yours. Our 2 dogs, Mick and Gingy will be kept separately from yours. We understand staying in a new home and meeting new people may be stressful to some furry ones. I want to make sure they adapt comfortably. After your drop off, I monitor your pet closely in how they react to us and our home. Playing in our back yard helps with the adjustment period along with lots of treats. While your pet is our guest pet in our home, he or she will have access to our huge fenced in backyard garden. Two large decks, one overlooking our above ground pool with a safety gate. We never leave pets unattended when they’re outside. We also have cameras overlooking our property. If I have multiple family pets staying with us (2 families max), one will stay in our 10ft X 12ft Playhouse which is insulated, climate controlled with radio always on. We have cameras in the Playhouse to help monitor your fur baby and help regulate the temperature inside. Another family pet may be staying in our 24 ft X 24ft remodeled garage that we like to call The Party Room (a large living room). Our dogs will remain in our house and I’ll alternate bathroom and playtime breaks in the backyard. I clean daily and disinfect each room between stays. We also hire Nuese Termite and Pest Control to spray our home regularly.

Information Jessica B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet is up-to-date on his or her vaccinations. Do they take medications? Provide me with your vet info incase of any emergencies. What’s your pet’s schedule from feeding, walks and bathroom breaks, so I can coordinate it with our pets. How many times do I need to walk (2 walks max) them and how far? What commands do you give your pet? Any behavior concerns that I need to be aware of? How do they react to storms or fireworks. Any past injuries that I need to be aware of? Please bring their special treat and toys.

A typical day

This depends on your schedule that you provide me for your pet. What time do they wake up, bedtime, their meal times, how many walks they need and how far. A typical day begins with bathroom and playtime in the backyard followed by breakfast. More time in the backyard while I feed my dogs and prepare for our morning walk. If it’s not raining we’ll walk around my neighborhood. After our walk, your furry friend will relax in the Playhouse while our dogs are in the backyard. Bathroom break in the backyard after your pet wakes from napping, followed by dinner. Social time, cuddles and lots of petting in the Party Room. One last bathroom break before bedtime. If the weather isn’t the best, we’ll be spending most of the time in the huge space in our Party Room. Your pet will feel like he/she will be on a pet luxuries vacation while you’re on yours.

I’m home a lot! Caring for your fur baby is my first priority. It’s very important to me that your furry family member is comfortable and happy under my care and that you feel at ease while you’re away. My 17 and 20 year old daughter, LOVES animals! When they’re home from school, they’ll lend a helping hand with extra cuddles, playtime and pets. Your fur baby will naturally become part of our family. When the weather’s nice, your pet and I will either go for walks, play fetch in the backyard or just enjoy the outdoors listening to the birds and admiring the beautiful colorful flowers. I enjoy walking so expect your fur baby to walk with me, regularly. Be prepared to receive lots of photos and updates from me throughout their stay. I use RunKeeper app as proof of our walks.
