Hello! My name is Jessica and I've owned three dogs throughout my life, and I have fallen in love with dozens others who have belonged to family and friends. I have helped train, feed, walk, care for and love dogs unconditionally since I was young. My godparents volunteered frequently at an animal shelter called ROAR in my hometown. Their passion and dedication to creating a better life for the dogs and cats that were brought in has always inspired me, and they taught me how to treat animals with utmost care and respect. I recently moved to DC to begin graduate school at Georgetown and I will have a very flexible schedule throughout each week (I am available any day during early mornings, lunch time, afternoon, and most evenings too!) I consider being on time at least 5 minutes early and I am a very responsible, cautious, and compassionate person. Every dog is special and unique in his or her own way, and I am committed to caring and loving your dog while you are away from home. Hope to meet you and your furry loved one soon!

I have known Jessica for about 18 years. Jessica has strong family values and is a loving and compassionate person. She is reliable and trustworthy. Jessica has pet sat for my Springer Spaniel who needed special care as well as her own dogs when she is home. She is quick witted and resourceful. I do not doubt that given the opportunity Jessica would become one of your preferred pet-sitters.
Jessica loves dogs unconditionally. She has two Springer Spaniels of her own and cares for them dearly. Jessica has walked and watched my dog many times the last few years. I love all breeds. I would just like to know the dog's energy level and how long of a walk is best for each dog. I would also like to learn about the dog's personality (shy and sweet? energetic and affectionate?) as well as how they act around other dogs and people. What is the best way to approach your dog in particular? Are others welcome to pet them? Preferences on giving them treats during the day?
A typical day
I'm overjoyed at how many dogs I've seen walking around DC since I moved in to my Logan Circle apartment. I lived here one summer during college for an internship, so I am familiar with the area and know several dog parks to bring your pet to if you'd like me to. If they are not best suited for the dog parks, I will be happy to take him or her on a private walk around the beautiful residential and safe neighborhoods that DC has to offer. I'll also play with your dog as long as he or she has energy for. I spend a lot of time in pet stores looking for all different types of toys for my family's dogs, and would love to learn which toys are your dog's favorites to play with. I'll also pet your dog and hang out in the air condition after a long walk on a warm day, and snuggle up if they are chilly during the winter! I'll always make sure they are comfortable, well fed, get exercise, and are happy.
