Hello! I’m Jess. I grew up in Charlotte and currently live in Ballantyne. Growing up, I had a chocolate Labrador retriever and pet-sit all sorts of animals until the time I left for college. In 2017, I adopted my current dog, Pablo, who is my everything! He is a 6-year-old terrier mix. My husband and I do not have children, so dogs have 100% of our attention. As a dog owner, and Rover user, I know how hard it can be to leave your pup when you go out of town. That’s why I joined Rover as a sitter! I’m here to care for your dog just like you would :) **Please note that we require a Meet and Greet before accepting new bookings to make sure our dogs get along**

Jessica is extremely communicative and sends lots of pics and updates. She gets two walks in a day and Louie always comes home happy! This past stay, Louie needed some extra care including a trip to the groomer and a pick up at our vet, and Jessica was happy to help us do those things while we were away. We will definitely continue booking with her!
I always feel at ease when I leave my little buddy with Jessica. She's an excellent communicator and always sends the best pictures/updates. I know Alex is happy there and gets tons of love and snuggles. I would recommend her, Dan, and Pablo to anyone. 🙂
Jessica is the best rover host I’ve ever had! I left Nikki with her over the weekend, and Jessica followed her schedules with several photo/videos a day - Nikki was having a blast! Nikki is very high energy and Jessica took her on walks and gave her plenty of play time. Very smooth and easy communication. I had a very great experience and would definitely love to book again!
THE BEST DOG SITTER EVER!!!!! I can’t thank Jess enough for being so wonderful to my dog Evie! Jess was so kind and receptive from the moment I met her. She went out of her way to make sure Evie felt right at home when she went to her house. For the 3 days I was away, I received regular photos and videos on how she was enjoying her day. To be honest, my dog was having such a great time, I almost felt bad picking her up lol. It was like a constant happy puppy weekend for her! It is priceless to have a wonderful person watch over your pet when you are away! Thank you Jess so much! ❤️🐶❤️🐶

Let me know of any medications your dog takes ahead of time. I also like to be aware of any unique behaviors they have (ex: does not like kids, is a table surfer, scared of thunder, skittish around big dogs, will chase rabbits, etc.). I appreciate it when owners write out a detailed description of their pet's schedule so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible while they are here!
A typical day
We take walks twice a day (morning and evening) with multiple potty breaks mixed in and plenty of time spent in the sunshine on our back deck. We do not have a fenced-in backyard, but our deck has a gate that allows us to hang out outside in the sun off-leash. Our terrier is a great companion for the dogs that we host. He is very low-key. We typically only take dogs under 50lbs because he gets along best with dogs his size or smaller.

Monday - Friday I work from home full-time for an animal welfare nonprofit called Best Friends Animal Society. My schedule is super flexible, but I do spend a lot of time on the phone and in Zoom meetings. Because of this, I cannot host dogs that are "extreme" barkers. My husband also works from home full time, so your pup will never be alone during the week.
