I’ve been around animals my entire life. As a kid, my family had multiple cats, and I grew up spending a lot of time with family members’ pets. From dogs and cats to guinea pigs and rabbits. I regularly pet-sat a family member’s Chihuahua when I was 13. From 16-20 years old, I was the main caretaker for our family dog, a Chinese-Crested Powderpuff named Max. I took care of feeding, walking, brushing, and playing with him, plus giving him his oral medication when he was sick once. Now my husband and I have 2 Domestic Shorthair cats, Skylar and Stella, who we adopted in 2021 and 2022. I handle all of the cat care: feeding, brushing, playing, scooping their litter, and trimming their claws.
