Pet care experience
I’ve cared for dogs in a home setting as well as in shelter settings. I care only for their happiness truly. Plus caring for doggos is a therapy to me as well. Not to sound cliche, but I’m a bit of a dog whisperer.

I live in an apartment with a semi-reactive dog so I wouldn’t be able to have a dog at my apartment, however I’ve dog sat for many in the client home and that’s usually less stressful for the dog anyways!

Information Jessi A. would like to know about your pet
I really just need to know a dogs temperament ahead of time. I personally have no preference on breed or size or anything. Only reason I would need to know temperament is in case I need to avoid other dog interaction or kid interaction or male interaction, etc. Some dogs just don’t do well with other dogs or other species and that’s totally okay.
A typical day
For long walks, I love the rail trail or even walking by Murphy lake. I usually spend time teaching dogs things; that actually tires them out more than playing sometimes. Once it’s warmer I’d love to run with some as well!

Availability
I currently work full time at Genesee County Animal Shelter Tuesday-Friday 10-6:30 and Saturday’s 8-4pm. I’m generally off Sundays and Mondays. With my schedule it’s best if I dog sit for dogs that can be alone for at least 8 hours at a time!
