Pet care experience
After owning and caring for a wide array of breeds and sized dogs over the years I know how hard it can be to leave a member of the family with a stranger! Let me assure you, I will give your best friend every second of care, attention, play time, training and exercise they deserve. I am a 28-year-old personal trainer who would love some company running and hiking all the wonderful trails Bellingham has to offer. I understand every dog has a different lifestyle in addition to varying diet and health requirements. I am more than willing to run or walk your pup multiple times a day to meet their needs and will diligently maintain their established routine. I provide tailored care and have expertise caring for senior dogs and those with physical and behavioral needs including blindness, separation anxiety, resource guarding, and aggression. I live in the Barkley neighborhood with a fenced backyard, close to an amazing trail system, and love taking dogs to trails on Galbrith, the Chuckanuts, Lake Padden, and Blanchard Mountain. I have a flexible work schedule which allows me to give your pup tons of attention so you can leave them in my care confident they will be happy, healthy, safe and well taken care of.

Jessa was great. She responded quickly to our inquiry and kept in touch with us while Winston was in her care to let us know how things were going. She’s active which is great when you have a high energy dog like a husky!
We love to travel but aren't always able to bring our dog. And finding a trustworthy and active dog sitter can be a challenge. Jessa was able to keep an eye on our home and our precious pet with ease. Regular activity and even some long trail runs kept our dog safe and engaged while we were gone. It's comforting to know there is nothing to worry about at home while on vacation. Overall, we (humans and animals) would say our experience was 10/10.
If I could keep Jessa for myself to exclusively watch nanuq of the North I absolutely would. Like most dog owners, my pup is my world. Nanuq is a special 12 year old pound pup with some shaky legs. Jessa is professional, punctual and truly cares about your dog. She took my last minute reservation and sent lots of updates. I wasn't worried about Nanuq at all which is a first. Jessa was so effective that I was able to fully concentrate on having a successful business trip. Two paws up!!!!

We will go on walks and/or runs on the Barkley trails, Whatcom Falls, Hovander Park, Chuckanut, Blanchard Mountain, Hertz Trail, and Lake Padden trail systems. I am happy to play fetch or practice training skills with your dog. I also love to snuggle on the couch and give lots of belly rubs.
