Pet care experience
As many sitters or walkers, or pet-owners in general, I have such a love for animals and have always taken such interest in them since I was young. I've had pets since I could remember--my first dog (a.k.a. "I was so young that she was actually my parents dog") was an akita. The first dog I ever fully cared for on my own was a little Labrador Queensland healer mix, which required lots of attention, due to their working nature. I've worked with small animals, professionally, ranging from hamsters to rabbits, for 2 years. Currently I work at an emergency veterinary hospital, and have worked there for 3 years and I am in the surgery department. Working at the emergency clinic, I have gained experience in recognizing hazards to pets, and great professional pet care!
Reviews
I am always hesitant finding someone to watch my baby because she is diabetic and requires insulin but I did not have any issues with Jess. Because I work long hours I am sometimes unable to make it home on time to give my cat her medication. Jess is very reliable and knowledgeable. She was able to watch, feed, play, and give my cat her medications. I know that I can trust Jess because she takes care of my baby like it’s her own. I would highly recommend her!
Jessica has done great with my babies! Her dogs (rottweiler and chihuahua) got along great with my small lab Misha, and they played hours on end. Her big dog plays a bit rough, but playtime is always supervised and cautious. Misha got her very own bone to chew on, and I got many pictures of my baby girl. Jessica was fairly quick to respond if I asked her how my girl was doing. Perfect dog friendly, clean little home, awesome for boarding or day care.
Jess is AMAZING! She loves all animals, but especially dogs. She works at a Vet Hospital and loves on dogs all day long. You can totally trust her with your pet. She is loving, responsible and very conscientious. You will be so happy you decided to choose Jess!!

Safety, trust & environment
My goal is to create a healthy, safe, friendly, comfortable, and loving environment for your fur-babies, while under my care. I will abide by any dietary needs or medicinal/medical requirements, if any. If your pet needs calm energy, I will provide calm surroundings; may your pet need extra attention, I can do that; if your pet needs frequent walks or play time, i have absolutely no issue with that! We live extremely close to a park, as well, if you are ok with park adventures! Behind-the-ear scratches or forehead kisses for your pets are complimentary!! I hope to ease any worries you may have, as well. Being a pet-owner myself, I realize the concerns of leaving your pet with a stranger....however, I am very open to meet with you and your pet, prior, if you wish, to make sure I will be a good fit for your baby. I do own a few chinchillas, named Pancake and Waffles, a snake named Dylan, a gecko named Tails; all are confined to a single room, without pet-access. Additionally, I own 2 dogs who typically roam freely throughout the house, but can be separated if need be. I have a chihuahua named Rey, and rottweiler named Vader. Please dont let the breeds and their poor reputations fool you...they are well behaved dogs, both are fixed, and I will separate them from your pets, if there are any concerns. I own multiple baby gates, where I can confine my larger dog, if that is an issue 💙 he wont mind.

Information Jess S. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting, please disclose any dietary needs or medical attention that may be needed or specific requirements for your pets. Does your pet have a primary veterinarian I may contact, if needed? I live close by an emergency pet hospital (VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center), if immediate medical attention becomes necessary. But again, my goal is to keep your pet safe, happy, and healthy while you are away!(: No breed preferences at all. However I do prefer dogs and cats be spayed or neutered, due to spraying or heat cycles, and my own dogs living in my home. But if not, I can work with it.
A typical day
We can go for walks in my neighborhood, which is fairly quiet. Typically other dog owners I cross paths with tend to keep to themselves. There is a park nearby with a big open field we can sniff around and explore! I do not walk dogs off-leash due to potential hazards. With owner permission, we can take trips to the dog park about a mile from my home!

For walks, I am usually free in the mornings from 07:30-08:30 on weekdays, and anytime after 19:00 on weeknights. Weekends I am generally available! I can be flexible upon discussion!(:
