Pet care experience

I've lived and raised a dog for the last 12 years of my life. I've also taken care of family friend pets for as much as 1 month when needed. Our dog passed away this year so I would appreciate being able to take care of a new buddy for you while you are away.

Absolute pleasure to have worked with Jess, she was very caring towards my pup and will recommend her. And of course I will go back to her again if need arises.

Jess was wonderful! My dog Cora (sheltie) loved Jess from the first sight. Cora usually accept people very slowly. But with Jess she was all over her immediately. During the evening Jess played with Cora and sent us video. Cora looked happy and excited. Jess has excellent dog sitting manners. She followed all our instructions and gave us full report of all time with Cora. I recommend Jess in a heart bit! She is excellent! Your dog will be happy and safe. Out of 10, I have Jess 12!!! Olga & Guy with Cora-sheltie (1.3 years old)

Jess did an amazing job taking care of my two pups. She was very thorough and caring and kept me informed throughout their stay. I would recommend Jess to anyone looking for pet care services and wouldn’t hesitate to leave my pups with her again.

I can work with pets that need to be crated, but if you prefer to give them open space, we have an entire room downstairs dedicated to keeping other people's pets. It has air conditioning which will also be on throughout the entire day to make sure your pet is cool. We have a large backyard and sizable front yard, though the pet will still have to be leashed when roaming around since there is no fence. On the weekends I'll also be able to take it to the park to have fun. I'm flexible with almost any routine and can change it around based on your needs. I love to take photos, and will keep you updated so that you know your pet is in good hands. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or want some clarification. I am also completely open to meeting in person as well to make sure that we are all comfortable with the arrangements. I hope I can have the opportunity to take care of your pet!

Information Jess L. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, medication, or behavioral patterns that I should look out for. Behavioral patterns can include anything from behavior expressed when needing to use the bathroom, or aggressive behavior before snapping or biting. I can deal with semi aggressive dogs and don't bother dogs when they eat since my dog used to be a defensive eater, but it is still useful for me to know so I do not accidentally make your pet upset or get bitten. Also do let me know if your dog likes to bark a lot. I am also fine with barking, but if there's a reason that I should be aware of for the barking, like needing to use the bathroom, or sensed animals/strangers, that is also good to know so I can administer to your dog if needed. The same applies for your cat(s) as well if they are making a lot of noise.

A typical day

A typical day depends on the type of services you need me for. Keep in mind that any preferences can be discussed with me and I am pretty flexible with almost any routine that you would prefer for your pet. If you don't have any preferences, for boarding: The pet can be taken out once in the morning and once in the evening for a walk. During the daytime, potty breaks can be taken. If your pet shows signs, such as nudging or barking near the door when it needs to use the bathroom, I will always be able to take your pet out to use the bathroom. Food can also be given in the morning and evening, and if your pet is fine with human food, I would also happily give it small "treats" from home food that is safe for dogs or cats to eat. On the weekends or if there's downtime on weekdays I may also take the dog to Mercer County park for a walk. If your cat likes to take walks, I would be happy to take it on walks as well. The same basically applies for pet daycares as well. Any extra needs can be discussed as usual.

Availability

Note: My prices are definitely negotiable and can vary depending on the type of service you need, such as if you need someone to check in on your pet, versus having your pet at our house for some time. I have time to fulfill any pet needs like walking, eating, playing, etc. A house trained pet would be preferred, but if your pet knows how to use those disposable potty pads we still have plenty of those for use. I am flexible with care options, such as bringing your pet home with me to spend the night if you prefer to leave your pet at your own house. I can also take care of small tasks like collecting mail and packages for you daily as well.
