Pet care experience
Dogs have had a special place in my heart for as long as I can remember. Unable to have pets at home as a kid, I sought out opportunities to play with and care for dogs at a young age. Since then, I've... -had my own pets (yayyy!) -volunteered as a puppy foster mom -run large-scale fundraiser events for dog lovers + their dogs, benefiting local shelters -pet sit for 18+ years! (both in my home as well as the pet's home) I am truly comfortable and content with all dogs, from playful puppies and selective seniors, to doggos livin' large. I am happy to reinforce basic training and leash commands you are working on at home. I reward pawsitive behavior through affection, affirmation, and...treats!!! (where applicable of course - not for dogs on diets) :) Along with my 18+ years of experience in pet and house sitting, I have 10+ years of experience as a professional nanny and 2+ years of experience as a personal chef. I know how to treat others' homes, and loved ones, with respect, loving care, and confidentiality.

Jess was amazing to work with and took such good care of our puppy and our home. She was reliable, responsive, and proactive in communicating each day about how everything went. Our dog seemed very happy spending time with her and we came home to a relaxed dog, clean home, and cookies!
Jess watched our 2 dogs for a week. She took great care of Baxter and Maggie - sending us updates and pictures daily. We came home to happy dogs and a very clean home. We will definitely use Jess again! I highly recommend her!

A typical day
My favorite doggie pastimes are cuddling, catching rays, and running around the yard or dog park playing fetch. I also enjoy dog hiking trails and beach visits.

Availability
I currently work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with flexibility to take breaks and walks throughout the day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I go into an office that is a big cozy 3 story home filled with sunny carpet spots and surrounded by lots of nature. On those days, your pup can 1) can come along with me for the day, if they are ok with car rides, new spaces and friendly people, or 2) chill at home, getting a 30 minute walk midday. In case of emergency, my work is flexible and I can work from home.
