Pet care experience
I've had a dog in my life as long as I can remember, and my family just wouldn't feel right without one...or two...or as many as my husband will allow... We currently have two rescues. One is a pure-bred, the other a mixed breed. We spend lots of time playing, exploring our neighborhood, and cuddling. I've spent years caring for pups that aren't my own as well. In my spare time, I've taken dogs for walks, volunteered at shelters, I've even worked for a canine waste removal company! (True story, promise.) I work during the week at a "normal job," but my evenings and weekends are open for loving on your dogs if you're otherwise occupied. I'd love to meet you and your furry family members and discuss how I can make your life easier!

We have know Jess for 2 years. She is fantastic with our dog Abbee. Abbee is an only child because she can't get along with other dogs and is not very well behaved on a leash. Jess watched Abbee for us a few times when we were moving and Jess was able to keep Abbee calm and happy even with her own dogs in the home. That is no small feat. We will use Jess whenever possible.
I've know Jess for a long time and she has taken care of our dog(s) again and again. She is very reliable and loves animals. I can honestly say she that she treats pets as if they were her own, and will follow your wishes as much as possible. I would recommend Jess to take care of any dog, young or old.

If your dog loves everyone, and has no issues with new people, I'd like to meet you at your home in advance in order for your dog to feel comfortable with me before they see me while you're not there. For those dogs that are more unsure of new people, I'm happy to meet in a neutral place before beginning services. Each dog has their own personality, and much like meeting other dogs, it can be very beneficial to meet new people outside one's territory. Please make sure to let me know if your pup has any special needs or pet peeves. (pun intended *wink*) Not only could your pet be put in an uncomfortable position, but their trust in me could easily falter. One of my dogs has an aversion to having his feet touched, and I would hate to have anyone find that out while I'm not around! I have no breed restrictions, but I am personally of smaller stature. Because of this, I do have a set a weight limit and will only accept dogs that are under 100 pounds. I would be doing you, and your dog, a disservice if I could not properly care for them due to lack of control.
A typical day
Your dog is guaranteed playtime with me! Fetch, tug, chase...I do it all. For those who are older, or just more mellow, plenty of belly rubs and cuddles are available! Every pup will get plenty of time exploring their neighborhood or local walking trail. Water and potty/poop breaks are, of course, included. Treats are also available, if that's okay with you! Please make sure to let me know if you have a specific way you would like your dog walked - you walk them on your left side, right side, let them have the lead, etc. Consistency is important in order to keep your pup happy and healthy! I am also happy to brush your dog, or make sure your cat or fish is fed, if needed. Please let me know what I can do to help and we can discuss whether additional charges will apply.
