Pet care experience
I started dog walking for neighbors in 2001 and continued to do so off and on for a decade. I pet sit for my neighbors in 2011 in exchange for the wifi password. I have a one-story apartment with a partially fenced yard and lots of natural light. I am one of those people who 100% crawls around on all fours to play with animals, regardless of my scoliosis. I have a relatively set sleeping schedule so the pets who board with me will have some sort of consistent structure for however long they are with me. I have a series of beds from a previous pet as well as a baby gate for sunny days and a set of stairs for my bed if needed for older/special needs animals.

Information Jess C. would like to know about your pet
I find it helpful to know if the dog is: - friendly with other dogs and if there are any breeds that need to be avoided. - potty trained on a leash which is not a problem, just something to work around. - child-friendly; Will they just cower or fear or will they lash out? - scared of hats. - likes the water/rain. - needs a raincoat. - allergic to anything. - likes to eat plants... or rocks. - (has) sensitive skin. - scared of certain sounds. - in need of help getting in and out of the car. - capable of recalling when off-leash (we can work on recalling specifically to me over time.) - ok with their paws being touched.
A typical day
For overnights on work days, we do breakfast and a potty walk or a long walk depending on how early my shift starts. There is always a potty walk before I leave the house regardless of how long I will be gone. I have 30-minute lunches that provide the opportunity for midday potty breaks. After work, we do a long walk and have dinner. There is always a final potty walk before bed. For Adventure Days, we visit dog parks, cafes, pet stores, and really any place that will accept dogs. I just moved to Bellingham so it really will be an adventure.

Availability
I work a full-time job that is a 10-minute drive from my place and the lunches are 30 minutes long. This works well for boarding since they will never have to be alone for more than 4.5 hours. I have Fridays and Saturdays off and I like to use them for Adventure Days.
