Having grown up surrounded by dogs, I am extremely confident in caring for your four legged friend! I have looked after many friend’s dogs whilst away on holiday (including overnight stays) and last year I regularly looked after a puppy (under 1 years) during the week. As well as young dogs, I am confident in looking after older dogs too. I grew up with a wonderful little Westie who lived until a ripe old age of 17 years old! I am able to administer medicine if needed. Having recently moved to the area it would be lovely to have some new canine friends. I looked after a couple of dogs regularly in my previous location and loved building a relationship with them so I hope to repeat that here. Really excited to hear from you soon.

Excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Jess had our 3 year old for a long weekend over Easter - his first time away from us. We were kept updated with photos and messages, and felt very comfortable that he was in good, caring hands!

Every dog is different so I would take the time to know more about your dog; their quirks, loves & hates, and characters to ensure you and your dog are happy. Your dog will be very well cared for and I can ensure lots of cuddles! I will always speak to you first to understand what you’re happy for your dog to do in my home, as well as out on a walk. We live in a ground floor flat and I will keep your dog on the lead in our shared garden. I am happy for your pup to join me on the sofa for a cuddle, but if this is something not regularly allowed at home I will follow your lead.

I would appreciate knowing information on how your dog behaves with other dogs and people. It’s also helpful to have the timings of any food or medication sent to me in advance so I have it in writing to refer back to. Also any strange or funny behaviours: E.g. they growl when their feet are being dried.
A typical day
When your dog first arrives I will make sure they get lots of cuddles and reassurance they are in a safe environment. We will spend the day together and head out on a few walks. At lunch we will head out to the river or Florence Park for a longer stroll. There will of course also be time for a play!

Availability
I work from home during the week so have the flexibility to take your dog out throughout the day for breaks and a decent walk at lunch. I’m a keen runner so if your pup is up for a run they can join me too!
