Pet care experience
I am a head veterinary nurse who has been in the industry for 5 years. I've seen many pets with anxiety and separation anxiety since covid has struck and it breaks my heart that all they may need is someone to pop in and make sure they're okay when their owners are away. I've also grown up with many pets of my own including cats, dogs and guinea pigs. So have good experience with walking, feeding and general socialisation of them. Please note, this is a side business for me, therefore, if requesting house sitting during weekdays unless it is my day off, I will be working meaning I won't be able to stay on the property 24/7, if your pets can be left alone for 4 hours at a time then I will be suitable. Thanks!

Jess was great with our cats and updated me with photos after she arrived. Left our house lovely and tidy. We would definitely book Jess again. She has a really calm persona and the cats warmed to her immediately.
Jess was prompt and Killigrew was clearly happy to see her. This time she managed to get him out of the door twice, but wasn’t able to persuade him to go very far from the house. I do hope we get another chance soon to make more progress on the walking aspect.
Jess was great! She looked after my elderly dog who needs daily medication and cats. She kept me updated on how they were and left the house nice and tidy. I would definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone.

I'm comfortable with all aspects of pet care in your own home and if you have a certain routine/regime I will happily adhere to it. I'm comfortable feeding and walking dogs. And I've no problem changing litter boxes etc for cats.

Let me know of any special requirements your dog needs. As a vet nurse I'm very competent in giving medications if needed. Also if they have specific areas they enjoy walking or certain commands for toileting etc let me know. I'd also appreciate knowing if they have any behavioural issues I.e aggressive or nervous. And if they're muzzle or crate trained. I'm still happy seeing these dogs but it's good to know in order to approach them correctly to make them comfortable with me.
A typical day
Provided on their age and health status, I can spend time with them in the garden or out on walks if a garden is not available and play with toys if they enjoy that. I'm happy playing fetch if that's something your dog enjoys. I like to take dogs on walks that may not necessarily be there normal area. Woodland areas are always fun for dogs if they're used to a park or field.

Availability
I work full time, however this means a 4 day week, so I will be available on weekends as well as the odd day during the week. My latest shift ends at 6pm so will also be able to do evening checks if needed.
