Pet care experience
I have extensive experience working with dogs via my volunteer hours at the Gainesville Humane Society, while also having been a reliable sitter for friends and family, and am currently working part time at a dog day care center while I complete my studies. It has been some time since I have had a dog of my own. An essential part of my childhood, growing up pets were key contributors to my upbringing, a dependable source of joy and a manifestation of the innocence within the world itself. Through animals we seek this feeling, this unrelenting love and affection, in dogs especially. The countless hours I spent volunteering at the Humane Society was my best attempt to capture these moments. But not all dogs are happy. In some you see pain, sadness, or confusion. They can be misunderstood, and thus rejected. Yet still pets have more love and compassion in them than most humans. Pets are humanizing. They remind us we have an obligation and responsibility to preserve and nurture and care for all life. Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to. When we adopt a dog or any pet, we know it is going to end with us having to say goodbye, but we still do it. And we do it for a very good reason: They bring so much joy and optimism and happiness. They attack every moment of every day with that attitude. Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them. I am new to the page and am hoping to build my profile by offering very budget friendly deals as I seek to prove myself and allow my work to speak for itself. I currently have a home to myself so overnight stays would be no problem at all. Furthermore I have reliable transportation so visits to the park are an absolute must! NOTE: I ask that you please be considerate of the time of all Rover sitters and agree upon manageable drop-off and pick-up times and subsequently honor those times. I have had multiple owners who have been considerably late for both drop-offs and pick-ups. Just because I express that I am flexible to your schedule does not mean that my time should not be respected. Furthermore, for overnight boarding, please be clear if you intend to pick up your dog late the next day. We get paid for each night that your pet stays with us, so if you pick-up your dog by 5 pm the next day, we are essentially watching your dog for an entire day free of charge. There is no problem with late pick-ups, especially because I know how often we have no control of our schedules, however if that is the case PLEASE consider tipping or simply have your pet stay another night. Depending on the pick-up time, I may ask to charge an additional daycare fee.

Always the best! Really appreciate having someone to help with Xena.
Jes has watched xena before but she’s never stayed the weekend. Xena seemed to have a blast. She didn’t look like she wanted to come home haha. Jes is easy to communicate with and I appreciated the daily updates.
Our dog Suxie took to Jess right away. We were comfortable leaving Suzie with Jes for an entire day because of the instant connection between the two. We could tell she had a good day with him, with love, care, and exercises. He kept us up to date, so we never worried snout her. Most definitely we will book Jess again?
Great and reliable dog person.
