Back living In San Diego! I am excited to meet you and your pup!! I absolutely love dogs. Every single one of them has something special to offer. Just like you, I am obsessed with making sure my dog is in good health and being taken of. He is a life, a sweet, adorable and important life who makes me a better person. I am happy you are considering me to take care of your sweet beast. I am a dog Behavioralist. I trained my own service dog and many others! I also work with many dogs who do not provide services :) As a kid, I worked in shelters. After growing up with a dog, I moved into an apartment building where I couldn't have a pup. I was so sad. I started adopting birds, hedgehogs whose quills were falling off, and turtles. But I always dreamed of having a dog. I was a young teenager when I learned how many dogs needed love in shelters. I couldn't keep myself away from the giant mutts, tiny terriers, one eyed pugs - I was in love and sad that they were behind bars. In college, I adopted a pug. She was my soul mate. Together, we lived with a vet tech who taught us (me and the pug, Myla) the beauty of fostering. We always had a foster pup. My roommate taught me to administer medications, bottle feed puppies and kittens, take care of hospice pups, and run adoption fairs for the foster dogs. Eventually, Myla and I found the perfect puppy we couldn't part with, a Boston Terrier mutt we named Oshinko. A few years later, I had an opportunity to work as a professional dog walker, sitter, and care provider for an organization called Dog Walking for Rain Forests in New York, NY. I also got volunteer with dogs at an animal shelter in Koh Lanta, Thailand. I am renewing my CPR and First Aid this month. I look forward to learning about your little (or big) friend.
