Pet care experience
I have had dogs for over 20 years. Our youngest is a working line German Shepherd who does K9 Street League, PSA and also explosive detection. We are familiar with the care and handling of high drive breeds such as Malinois, Dutch Shepherds and German Shepherds. Our older German Shepherd is trained in service work as is our Saint Bernard. We utilize a NePoPo style to help our working dogs and pets have the structure and predictability they need to be happy, confident and successful.

We are so happy to have found Jerry and Mandy! Our 17 month German Shepherd was so well cared for and she was definitely enjoying her time while in their care. They took the time to get to know River and the commands that we use with her so that she would have that consistency. River definitely made herself at home and was treated like one of the family. She is used to getting lots of love and affection and Jerry and Mandy’s home is definitely filled with both. We really enjoyed getting updates with pictures and videos. We are already booked again and I am sure River can’t wait .
Mandy and Jerry were the perfect home away from home for our young 1yr old pup. He hasn’t had a ton of experience being “boarded” but they made him feel right at home and treated him just like one of their own dogs. He got tons of love and attention, plus walks and stimulation for his puppy energy. More than he gets at home actually, lol. They also sent us lots of pictures and updates. We will absolutely be sending him there again, we call it his vacation home.
Jerry and Mandy were fabulous sitters for our one year old (very high energy) Labrador puppy. We had to travel out the country and our return date was changing and they were super flexible and made our experience stress free, they even went to pick up dog food for us when we started to run low. They sent daily updates and photos and took her on regular walks (and even did some training with her). She had the best time, and I could recommend them enough!

we keep guest dogs and our dogs separate via crate and rotate so there is never a chance of a scary interaction. We believe in setting the dogs up for success and try to keep them in a safe environment at all times.

Good to know what your pet likes and doesn’t like, games, foods, treats and what the dogs favorite things are to do. We are pretty flexible but also provide good structure for the dogs.
A typical day
We live on a trail so a typical day would include a walk, fetch or ball with favorite toys and maybe some food based mental games as well. We also include some time on the couch for pets/cuddles depending if the dog likes it or not.

Availability
Both my wife and myself work from home so it is rare that the dogs are alone. Since we already have 3 large breed dogs having another 1 or 2 isn’t really any different
