Pet care experience
Growing up we had 2 Lab-Border Collie mixes that lived to be 16 years old each. Then we had 2 Shih-Tzus that lived to be 9 & 15. My family now has a 3 year old Pomsky named Zara & she's healthy & happy. Since I've moved to Rochester, I do not have any pets myself but since I was about 15 years old I've been relied on by many to watch their animals - dogs, cats, fish, even horses alike (This includes friends, family, friends of friends) when they're gone for trips, vacations, or even just while they were at work. I enjoy taking dogs for walks, love playing fetch with a ball or frisbee with them, and if possible bring them to dog parks around the area. As far as specifics in dog care, I've watched over dogs that have had extensive medicine regimens including pills & ointments, even broken bones at certain points. I would be willing to bathe or clean the dog if they were to get muddy or such. I've cared for dogs of all ages & some examples of breeds I've watched over are Doberman, Brown Lab, Chihuahua, Scottish Terrier, Pitbull, Border Collie, Black Lab, Yellow Lab, Australian Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Bulldog, French Bulldog, Great Dane, Lhasa Apso, Australian Dingo, Dachshund, German Shepard, Yorkshire Terrier, Cocker Spaniel, and honest there are some more in there. I've watched over plenty of cats as well, many of the households had both plus fish in some cases. I do not have any specialty in training dogs but I do have a good ability to keep them under control in leashed situations or in situations where another dog is involved. Usually the owners & I would meet together and go over any parameters before their trips & we would make a written list of reminders & schedules to keep. Long story short, I'll be able to handle just about any situation that you are wanting to throw at me with regards to your pets & will genuinely enjoy spending time with them.

Jerry stayed at our house and cared for our dog and tortoise for a week. He took great care of them and our place and sent us updates along the way. We came home to a clean house and happy animals! We will definitely use Jerry's services in the future, and would recommend him to others looking for care!

Jerry did great! Really appreciate the time he took to keep the dogs calm and behaved. He answered me right away when I had questions during his stay and Maverick and Raven seemed perfectly fine when we arrived home , house was clean no messes or fusses ! Look forward to using him again!
Jerry was a wonderful caretaker of our dog when we were gone for a week. He was responsible for staying at the house overnight, taking the dog on walks, feeding, playing, etc. Our dog was a 5 month old puppy at the time. He did an exceptional job and I’d hire him again due to the care he gave our dog!

All of the dogs I've ever owned were crate trained as puppies & usually kept a liking to their crates as far as sleeping at night, but with the door open once they were a bit older. I did not live in a city environment so our dogs were allowed outside without leash unless they had tendency to run away, which most did not. As far as dogs that I've cared for, it's been a true range as to the specifics of the care and environment. I've watched plenty of dogs with electrical fence training, while others were allowed off leash. I've watched dogs with strict walking schedules multiple times per day & others that were not accustomed to walking at all. I tend to use a leash even in circumstances where the owner says it's not required just to avoid any crazy circumstances. I am willing to follow basically whatever protocol you are currently running with your dog & have probably had at least some experience with whatever request you may have. I've watched over animals where the owners have access to cameras both indoors & outdoors so I am not afraid of being held accountable for the care, safety, or trust that we build.

Availability
I currently drive for Uber & Door Dash which means that my schedule is fairly flexible. I do have a few nights per week that I play in sports leagues, but other than those time slots - which are never more than 1.5/2hrs, I would be available to care for your pet & work my Rideshare schedule around yours. I do occasionally go out on weekends, but for the most part I'm doing Uber & catching bar runs. I have an uniquely open schedule with rideshare so will most likely be able to accommodate the schedule you're looking for.
