Does your dog need a lot of exercise? My backyard is a forest covered mountain that me and my pooch love to hike up as often as possible. Or does your pup need somewhere cozy to spend the night? I live in a cabin where pups are always welcome on the bed and there are 2 spacious crates with dog beds as well. The majority of my background with dogs comes from being a dog owner myself. I raised my dog Grumble from only 3 weeks old; she is now 7 years old and a very healthy 50 pounds for her breed (she is a blue heeler mix). I know how to care for puppies and am experienced with the discomforts of teething, indoor peeing, and other mess making behaviors. I can be calm but also assertive when it comes to discipline, as well. I believe in cage training, and will put a pooch in time out when they have misbehaved, if an owner so wishes. I also enjoy giving commands, I taught Grumble to sit, lay down, stay, shake, stand, and even to leap into my arms. I would be happy to continue any command training an owner has for their pup during any dog sitting gig. I am also comfortable with unspayed/uneutered dogs. My very own Grumble was not spayed until she was 6 years old. She never had a pregnancy and I kept her healthy during each heat. I do not mind if you're dog goes through a heat during a sitting and would be happy to accommodate her in anyway and keep her safe from male dog interaction for the duration of the heat. I am available for home visits/dog walks in the general Hudson Valley/Catskills regions. I'm happy to come by any time that the sun is out (between 8am and 4pm in the winter, or 6am and 8pm in the summer) most weekdays and some weekends. I'm usually available for hosting and would be open to the occasional overnight.
