The Respect the Animals Deserve
Pet care experience
Companion animals have been apart of my life since I was a kid. I've had cats, dogs, fish, mice, hamsters, and even ferrets all under my care through the years, though I've worked with (and even studied) cats the most. Caring for any animal, though, requires a lot of patience, attention, devotion, respect and, above all else, boundaries, especially with cats, and I pride myself on displaying these qualities with any animal that I meet. You can rest assured knowing that your furry family members are not only getting the care they need, but also the understanding and respect that they deserve.
Reviews
Jeremy took excellent care of my high maintenance cats and home while we were out of town. He communicated with me daily and sent me pictures of them, including taking candid great Polaroid photos of them I love. I would absolutely book him again.
My animals loved Jeremy! He was so sweet and so gentle with them, and texted me updates throughout my trip. He even took polaroid's of them and left them on our fridge which I didn't notice until after he left. Very thoughtful.
Jeremy was the absolute BEST!! He watched three of our dogs (two whippets and a saluki) most of the day Saturday. He gave us updates and even took Polaroid portraits of the dogs! Highly recommend Jeremy! We will definitely be using him again. ?
Jeremy bonds quickly with every animal. My parents dog, Boomer, doesn't take too kindly to strangers. Sometimes it takes a few visits before he even warms up to someone new. But as soon as Jeremy walked through the door for the first time, they immediately became best buds. Now if we happen to be walking into my parents house at the same time, Boomer will run right past me to greet Jeremy first. Do I get jealous? Absolutely! xD But it just goes to show how great Jeremy is with dogs, and really all animals.

Cats: Specifically, these animals are somewhat sacred to me, which is why I've spent the most time with them. They are independent (for the most part) and require a lot of respect and boundaries. Body language is important when it comes to caring for any animal, but with cats it can be a little confusing. That's why I've studied them for so long, read a ton of great books, and volunteered at a cat shelter in my neighborhood. When it comes to cats, you can feel assured that I know exactly what I'm doing. I can even provide some tips on how to correct certain unwanted or confusing behaviors! Dogs: I grew up with three small dogs for about a decade, have sat bigger dogs for other family members and friends, and have also cared for one of my roommate's crossbred dogs when we lived together. From chihuahua to husky, I've met a lot of different, very interesting personalities, all of different ages and various sets of needs. In general, though, I find that, because dogs are a tad more social than cats, they need a lot more attention, interaction and love, not just someone who sits on their phone and only checks on the dog to make sure it's still alive. In my experience, dogs are always comforted by my friendly, energetic and approachable nature. I am confident that your dog will not only feel safe with me, but will consider me a new friend that they can't wait for the next visit to see.

Information Jeremy O. would like to know about your pet
If they do alright around other dogs, whether at another house or just at the park, and any medical problems they might have, allergies they might have to other foods.
A typical day
Every dog's schedule and energy level is different, so I will adjust accordingly to ensure that your dog is cared for as an individual. Younger, more energetic dogs will receive more play time and walks than an older, more docile dog, for example. We'll stay hydrated during any outdoor activities, especially during the summer, and maybe use any left over energy to practice or learn a new command -- a great opportunity to earn some treats! I love training dogs -- and cats, too! -- and am willing to do so, if that's something you would like for me to do. If not, we'll do the good ol' tug-o-war and, if staying over night, relax to a movie with plenty of snuggle time.
