Hi there! I grew up with dogs throughout my childhood and truly believe that dogs should be considered family members. My husband and I have had Emma, our pup, for 2 years now. We found her through a local rescue, and since getting to know the folks at Arrow, have fostered several dogs for them over the last year or so. We love getting to treat these dogs like family until they find a furever family of their own! With fostering, we're never sure how long it will take for a dog to be adopted, and it's hard not to get attached. It's also hard to commit to long periods of time sometimes, depending on our calendar. Rover seems like a great way to meet other dog owners in town and do something that we love to do for shorter amounts of time. We have a very dog friendly home. Lots of toys, they are most certainly allowed in the furniture and snuggling is encouraged if the pup is a lover. Our dog Emma sleeps with us every night in our bed, and with a queen, there's usually just enough room for a second pupper if that's what they're comfortable with. We do have experience with crating if your dog loves his own space, and would be happy to set that up in our room. We also have experience with oral medications and would be happy to help with any other special needs your dog may have. We have a large fenced in back yard where the dogs can play and exercise together, but we also take frequent walks around the neighborhood, usually at least one per day. My husband is a full time student right now, so though I am at work until 5:30 or 6 each night, he is in and out during the day so your dog would never be left alone for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time. Most evenings are spent at home with our pup as well. Because we do have Emma, we would prefer a meet and greet before drop off, but she's very good with all dogs and we've never had a problem. It would be good to know if your dog has any food aggression or other triggers we should be aware of. Looking forward to meeting you and your pupper!!
