Dog's have had a very big impact in my life growing up, as I didn't always have someone to comfort me through hard situations. I've come to realize that dogs deserve to be treated as a companion rather than a pet. I personally have taken care of my 9 year old chihuahua from birth and she is very well behaved. Skills that are relevant to caring for a dog that I believe I possess are: I'm very patient and am willing to work with dogs, I'm fairly fit and don't mind walking or taking a dog to a local park to play, and I realize that taking care of an animal is a huge responsibility and shouldn't be taken lightly.
