Hi! I’m Jenny From The Block. Dog lover, rescuer, and mom. I have 30 plus years of experience with my own and others’ dogs — and pets/animals of all kinds really. I’m married with 3 almost-grown boys. Everyone knows my favorite “boy” is a 4 year old, 20 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell(?) mix rescue named Brodie. He’s very social and kind, and he loves to play. In his bow tie, he looks like a tiny, furry old man. He’s trained and great with other dogs. These days, he's a bit sad & lonely because we recently lost our puppy Akira to epilepsy. I have experience administering meds, adhering to a strict schedule, seizures, emergency medical care… I have experience with older and special needs animals, and puppies are no problem. As an owner of dogs with anxiety, I can assure you that your pup will receive the personalized attention that they need. I have lots of experience with high anxiety dogs and the behavior that can come along with an anxious dog. Patience and trust is key. I’ll like to brush the dogs daily for a healthy coat and to reduce anxiety (and reduce shedding!). I have 3 years professional obedience training from puppy on up. I have no issues with any sort of crates, collars, housing types, etc… We have crates if your pup feels more secure there or just needs some “me time.” Or they can play, lounge or nap in our separate doggie lounge area. My pets are allowed on furniture and sleep in the bed with us. I’m happy to accommodate your dog in whatever conditions they are most used to at home, makes them (and you!) most calm, comfortable, and happy when away from home.

Jen was a great sitter! She sent me updates every day and cute photos of my dog. She also put a tag on him that I was able to track from my phone. Jen put me at ease since I was flying with my family to Disney and then boarding a cruise where I had no access to texts. She did the most important thing that I needed--she set an alarm to give my dog his meds 2x a day so that he wouldn't go into heart failure. I picked up my dog happy and healthy. I definitely will use her again in the future.
Jensene and her family were Amazing! From the very start she was friendly professional and yet down to earth. She treats your pets just like they were her own. She knew how to introduce the puppies so neither would feel overwhelmed. She explained her methods and tactics with the dogs and provided the comfort that I needed to give me security. She provided constant updates and provided the flexibility I needed. She is definitely a one of kind Great Puppy sitter. My Cashew loved her and her family from the very first meeting. Her Brodie and Cashew were best buddies, even snuggling up together for their naps. The cutest thing ever!!!
My daughter and I were so nervous to leave our pup with anyone for so long, but we had a situation where it was unavoidable. Thank goodness we found Jenny! She is absolutely wonderful and I felt good about her caring for our BFF. I truly appreciated not having to worry during a stressful situation. We have found our stress free sitter and we are so grateful!!!
Can I leave 10 stars? First, let me say I have never boarded my dogs before so I was very nervous. Both are rescues and have their issues. My one dog is epileptic. The other is super anxious. My only hope was to have my dogs cared for like I would. Jenny was outstanding! Honestly, I had more communication with her than I had when I dropped my children at a babysitter! She is the absolute best. If Jenny takes care of your dogs she will care for them as you do. If I ever have to go away again Jenny will be the only one I would choose to take care of my babies! I can't say enough about her and her family. They are super nice and they are obviously animal lovers. Do not hesitate to leave your precious babies with her, they will be well cared for. My mother's dog was also cared for at the same time and she will also tell you that Jenny is the best. It was such a relief to be able to attend my son's wedding and not have to worry about my dogs (babies)

My fun but firm approach has earned me the title of 'dog whisperer'. Dogs are innately pack animals and don’t always like being alone, so it’s important that your dog trusts me and we bond. I am with them all day when they’re here. Pet safety as my top priority, you can trust that your furry friend will be in good hands with me. When we go outside, I stay with them at all times. I have secure fencing around the backyard. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I live in a quiet, safe, dog-friendly neighborhood. My home is also safe, secure and animal-friendly. I have space for crates if you need your dog to sleep in a crate at night, otherwise they are free to sleep with me. For a smooth transition, I ask you pack your pup's collar/harness, leash, food, and crate or other items they enjoy. Please let me know if your pet has any medical limitations, physical limitations, any other sort of restriction. Also, if they have a history of reactivity/aggression towards people or dogs so I can accommodate their behavior. You can have 100% peace of mind when your fur baby is with me.

Availability
I am a stay-at-home mom, so I'm free to spend a lot of time playing with and taking care of your dog. My schedule is flexible and dictated by the “dogs’ days.” Some days we have tons of energy and are excited to get outside to run, play and release energy. Other days are lazy days, where snuggles, naps and belly rubs are in order. I love playing and cuddling with all the furbabies and will sit down on the floor with them for one on one and pack time. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell who’s having more fun! Most dogs need daily exercise to keep them from getting bored or anxious, and to release energy. Weather-permitting, a typical morning or afternoon includes a long walk in my quiet & safe neighborhood. It’s a great opportunity to get exercise and practice commands & and good manners with other (friendly) dogs we meet. Or, we might spend time in the yard playing, exploring, chasing squirrels, birds or each other… followed by a nice nap in the sun. Regular activity and stimulation results in a calm, happy dog at pick up. I have a relatively flexible schedule. I am available on weekends and weekdays and can work with you on your specific pick up, drop off, daycare, and boarding time table.
