Pet care experience
Work Experience Hey there, welcome to my page! My name is Jenny, and I have 4 years of pet sitting experience. I also work part time as an animal care attendant at a local shelter, where I do basic care for both dogs and cats! With my part time job in mind, I am only able to provide morning and evening services, with exceptions. I’m a fan of any and every type of dog and cat! I have experience with many dog breeds, from chiuahuas to golden retrievers. I also have experience with cats, and specific experience providing oral and injected medications for cats. Working at the animal shelter and Rover, I have helped many pets, big and small, young and old, shy and outgoing, so I am prepared for anything! Fun Facts About Me As for my personal pets, I have a dog of my own- a eleven year old beagle mix. Before my beagle, I had a wonderful pitbull mix. I also have other pets such as my cat Delilah, my crested gecko Franklin, and my hermit crabs Rodrick and Violet. I understand how important our animals are to us, so making sure they stay happy and healthy is my top priority.
Reviews
Jenny recently cared for my diabetic cat for a week. She made two visits per day and gave her an insulin injection each visit. She arranged a time to meet ahead of time, and I was highly impressed with her professionalism as well as her sincere love for pets of all kinds. I felt quite confident knowing my cat would be in great care with Jenny. She sent a few pictures and text messages which assured me my cat was fine and in excellent care. I told Jenny I was so blessed to have found her! I will definitely call her again!
Jenny was great. She took great care of Brody and was very reliable and responsive. I would highly recommend her.
In addition to being very gentle with the animals, she’s very good with them. I’ve known her for several years and my dog always is very excited to see her. She speaks in a quiet voice to calm them and she’s adept at giving baths, soothing them afterwards with gentle scratching. Walking my dog is a favorite activity both Jenny and the dog look forward to. She’s very punctual and respectfyl and, although on the quiet side, she opens up wonderfully and she’s very sweet.
Jenny took care of my dog (a 12 pound chihuahua mix) a few times last year. She was flexible with my schedule, and was friendly with my dog. On rainy days when she couldn't go for as long of a walk, she spent some time with her before leaving. I will definitely ask her to help me out again when I need someone!

When it comes to drop ins and over night stays, I am great at following any specific directions or rules you may have for your pet’s care. Drop ins With drop ins, I make sure each pet gets a potty break, new food and water, and lots of play time and love! As mentioned, I am able to follow specific instructions (medications, etc.) and help with other household needs (watering plants, etc.) Pictures are always included with each drop in. Overnight Stay Overnight stays are one of my favorite things to do, because it makes for lots of time to bond and build friendships with your pet. Overnight stays are very similar to drop ins, except I would be spending the night in your home with your pet.
Information Jenny S. would like to know about your pet
Making sure your pet stays happy and healthy is my top priority. Before caring for your pet, I would love to know about any medical needs and/or special food your pet has. I would love to know what medications they take (if any), and when/how to give it to them. If they are afraid of anything (squirrels, thunder, other dogs, etc.) I would like to know that, and also how to help them calm down. Dogs: Key words play a big role in dog care (stop, lay down, stay, etc.), and if you have any specific key words you give your dog, please let me know! I do not have any breed preferences, so don't be afraid to ask me about your dog! Cats: Having a routine is very important for our feline friends, and making sure to stick to their schedule (as much as possible) is one of my priorities. I would love to know what a typical day in your cat household looks like.
A typical day
Your dog will love going on walks with me! I can take them on their usual routine, and I can also take them to dog-friendly places, like the park, or a hiking trail. If your dog likes to play, I will be sure to set aside time to get some fun, playful activities in. I also provide enrichment for cats, including brushing, interactive play, and petting.

Availability
Because my other job is only part time, there are days where I will be able to provide morning, midday, and evening services. When I do have to work, my shifts are from 8-4:30, so I only provide morning and evening services those days. Unfortunately, I am never sure exactly what days I will be working until two weeks prior, but I keep my calendar updated daily and am able to chat with you if you have any questions!
