Pet care is my full-time focus, so whether I'm stopping by for a drop-in visit, taking your pup out for a walk, or house sitting for the week, your pet always gets my full attention. Walks are more than just a bathroom break — I love letting dogs sniff, explore, and actually enjoy their time outside. Drop-in visits are never rushed; there's always time for play, snuggles, and a proper check-in. During house sits I may step out briefly for an errand or to meet a friend, but I always return with plenty of time for your pet. And if the weather isn't cooperating, we'll make the most of it indoors — because your pet deserves enrichment and attention every day, not just the sunny ones.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in their own home, which is where they're most comfortable and their routine stays intact. During house sits I handle the little things too — walks, playtime, watering plants, and grabbing the mail — because a well-looked-after home is part of good pet care. I always clean up after myself and your pets and leave everything just as I found it. I'm vegetarian and working toward fully vegan, so I never bring meat into your home. This matters to many of my clients — including those with vegan and kosher households — and I'm happy to respect any dietary or household preferences you have. I'm happy to discuss transporting your pet if needed — just ask! To keep everyone safe and healthy, please have your pet's current vaccine records ready to share before or at our meet and greet.
Information Jenny P. would like to know about your pet
To give your pet the best possible care, here's what I'd love to know before we get started: Routine — What does a typical day look like? Wake-up time, feeding schedule, treats, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and bedtime. Health — Any medical conditions, medications, or special needs I should be aware of, minor or ongoing. Behavior & socialization — How are they around adults, children, and other animals? Any quirks or triggers I should know about? Training — What cues do they know? Have they attended any training classes? If your pet requires continuous one-on-one attention throughout the day, there may be an additional fee to ensure they get the dedicated care they need — just let me know and we can discuss what works best!
A typical day
No two days look exactly the same, and that's part of the fun! For dogs, beyond neighborhood walks I love exploring local parks — Pheasant Branch, Hoyt Park, and Indian Lake County Park are favorites. For high-energy pups, a backyard fetch session is a great way to burn off some steam. For cats, a typical visit includes playtime, enrichment, cuddles on their terms, and a thorough check-in on food and litter. Throughout the day I'll send you updates — photos, notes, and the kind of details that let you actually relax while you're away. You'll always know your pet is having a great day, even when you can't be there. Need help with a vet or daycare run? Just ask and we can work something out!

Pet care experience
Your pets aren't spoiled — they're competitively compensated for the experience they provide. 😄 I'm proudly LGBTQ, BIPOC, and vegan friendly, and I carry additional insurance for your peace of mind. I'm also Fear Free Certified and certified in Pet First Aid & CPR through ProPetHero. I love exploring the outdoors with dogs — Pheasant Branch, Devil's Lake, the Ice Age Trail, and Indian Lake are favorites. I also know all the best sniff spots at Cardinal Glen, Hill Creek, Flagstone, Pocket Park, Thousand Oaks, Hoyt Park, Lerner Conservation Park, and more. I grew up on a farm surrounded by Dalmatian dogs, cats, chickens, Rascal the lamb, and plenty of other animals — so pets of all kinds have always been part of my world. As an adult I've spent years pet sitting, house sitting, walking dogs, and giving lots of well-deserved snuggles. Overnight stays tend to fill up ahead of time, but I can often fit in walks and drop-in visits on shorter notice — don't hesitate to reach out! I especially enjoy caring for senior pets and those with special needs — they deserve just as much patience and joy as any other animal. I'm comfortable with multi-pet households and love building ongoing relationships with clients and their furbabies. You can always expect photos and updates so you feel connected no matter where you are.

Reviews

Jenny is incredible. We are ridiculously obsessed with our dogs and she immediately understood the mission. She took great care of the pups, gave us tons of updates, and even cleaned up the house before we got home! Whoah! Thanks Jenny!!

Jenny is great! She is so sweet with our new rescue, we really needed someone who understood her and Jenny was that person.

Jenny does such a wonderful job walking our lovable and overly social Labrador! She also does great working with us on our ever-changing schedules. We feel very lucky that Jenny is such a caring, enthusiastic friend for our dog!

Recommend Jennie! She’s great with pups and Lula responded well immediately with her
