Hello! My name is Jenny and I have been a dog owner and animal lover all of my life. I grew up with many animals of different species but my love and affinity for dogs specifically was undeniable and dogs are my absolute favorite. I come from a lineage of animal lovers and through out my life I was always living with a dog or dogs. I believe in quality and integrity over quantity. If you’re looking for detailed and meticulous quality care for your pup, then I might be the sitter for you. I’m a superb communicator and you will get updates regularly. When I am not taking rover clients I am sometimes involved in dog rescue efforts, fostering homeless and euth listed dogs…often working with them on basic training. I’m also taking courses on animal communication. Let me assist you in getting away with peace of mind by caring for and boarding your pet. My home is modest but comfortable with a big fenced yard and I am able to accommodate any special instructions you have if discussed before hand, always ensuring that your pup is comfortable. Additionally, I also offer basic training on commands such as : sit, stay, lay, come here, leave it, basic leash manners and crate training as well. Other services I offer include: meal service, pet photography and animal communication (coming soon). BUDDY’S STORY: My most recent beloved is Buddy, whom was a beautiful, blonde Labrador that I adopted and cared for for 14 years. Buddy was feisty, and playful, and vocal, and he gave me the most beautiful companionship. I am forever changed because of him and my heart is always with him. He crossed the rainbow bridge last year due to old age. Letting him go was one of the difficult decisions of my life. In his later years he had arthritis and a slew of other health problems. We would go for acupuncture, laser, and various other treatments several times a week. He ate home cooked organic meals that I would prepare weekly for him along with his specialty meds and supplements. We would have our daily morning walks at the park and several outings and more walks through out the day. I cared for him to the best of my ability. Caring for him was a lot of work as I also had other responsibilities to attend to. But those are years I would never give up and would do again had the opportunity to. He wasn’t just a pet, but rather a most precious and beloved family member. I’ve had a lot of experience caring for different dogs of different sizes and personalities through out the year. And although I am not quite ready to have another one of my own yet again, I would like to offer the service of boarding and day care for pet owners who need it. Traveling and getting away was always hard for me and I had really missed it especially during the years when Buddy was sick and I stayed homebound. So I’d like to be able to offer the service of boarding and day care to pet owners who would like to travel or need to be away for a short time with the comfort and peace of mind knowing that your fur baby is in the good hands of a former dog mom, animal lover, and dog enthusiast. MORE ABOUT ME: I am vegan, driven by the reasons of compassion. I am also a personal development nerd, and avid watcher of k-drama and c-drama, a photographer and foodie, and a fashion tech by trade. MEET AND GREETS: Are 10 minutes and more than welcome to see if it’ll be a compatible fit. Please note: I do not offer house tours due to liability reasons, however there are pictures on my profile for reference . ON A TYPICAL DAY: We love going for regular walks and trips to the park. Also who doesn’t love a game of fetch and belly rubs? Most importantly I will spend ample time with your pup to make sure they are relaxed and comfortable as I know being away from home and in a new environment can be stressful. WALKS & POTTY BREAKS: All pup visitors will get 2 walks a day along with at least 3 potty breaks + yard time to stretch, run, and play. REQUIREMENTS: All dogs are required to be up to date on flea medication and treatment as well as have all the necessary vaccinations / shots for daycare care and boarding. Dogs must be house trained. RESTRICTIONS: Unfortunately I cannot accept pit bulls or dogs over 70 lbs as there are restrictions to breed and weight where I live. Also, dogs that show aggressive or dangerous behavior to people or other animals, dogs with excessive leash reactivity that are pulling and lunging excessively and cannot be handled or managed safely. Dogs that are not house trained and that bark excessively also cannot be accepted. A SPECIAL REQUEST: I am new starting out here on Rover, but not new to the caring of dogs.
